I am pretty sure once you are in Telc, you would love to stay longer. I do not say forever, but definitely longer. The location is so seductive, medieval houses on the square and the chateau breathe out history. One of my favourite artist - ZRZAVY - is connected with this place.

nice little downtown. Cosy take a stroll inside. Beautiful buildings. No great deal of time, therefore, do not create it.

Although a long drive from Prague we did not regret visiting Telc, albeit the cloudy weather. The uniquely decorated buildings have been included in Unesco's world heritage list.

On the way from Prague to Bratislava, that year 2001, we stopped in the very romantic, medieval town in southern Moravia, near the river Jihlava. That was the right move
of our guide from "Kon-Tiki" to show us, that real pearl of middle aged architecture. No wonder,it was at the time, included in Unesco List of World Heritage Sites. After the crowded Prague and little bit a weary travel by bus, although through the beautiful areas of the czech and moravian forests, lakes and meadows,we reached the genuine place for some rest, stretching the legs, and above all ,for getting the pleasure of the charming view of Telc.
Here, there is a famous castle(Zamku Telc) and a long urban plaza with well-conserved Renaissance houses. This central plaza or huge long square is paved with cobblestones, and after the habitual asphalt and concrete paved roads and streets, that was a change to remind us of some long time ago, different periods of human being. On both sides of this large plaza, the beautifully painted arcade-fronted townhouses of similar size and proportion, lined with the variety of stores at the floorground level. Also, there was a open market with souvenirs, flowers, bottles of wine, beer. The outdoor cafes and restaurants attract the numerous tourists with its rich offer. This small historic centre is surrounded by the three large ponds, just ideal for taking the nice photo pictures, the boating and hiking along the shoreline paths.Really, gentle and perfect place to relax and unwind.

Forget the crowds of tourists you see in Prague and immerse yourself into this beautiful little town.
Unfortunatrely way off the way,but nevertheless worth the time
We only had an afternoon there, but we would like to stay overnight.
The ponds on the outskirts look fascinating and inviting for a walk
