Great place to spend your evening if you are not into typical parties. We have went to Aida opera and was really amazing! Great experience for us!
Was a bit tough to read english subtitles though when the scene was bright.

We were in Prag in 1996 and even then we visited State Opera. At that time as well as now the opera happened to be Turandot.

The house is beautiful and it seems that they always manage to have it almost full. We succeeded to get good seats and enjoyed the play very much.

The most expensive seat costed in 1996 just 630 Cr. This time the inflation had increased the cost to 1100 Cr. However it is worth every Cr.

Traviata was brilliantly played and sung (though the whole thing, visually, was a bit monochrome). This is a wonderful building. Acoustics are first class. And in terms of value, by ROH standards, it's fantastic.

If you've never tried opera, this would be a good place to do it.

We went to Madama Butterfly.
I have to say that english translation wasn't so nice, because a lot of parts weren'tnot translate, so, or you understood italian or you never knew what was happening.
A part from that, the seats are not allowed for long leg persons.
The sound is correct, but some places like Andorra's Auditori nacional, Palau de la música at Barcelona or Liceu are better.

Not Nuryeve but very well presented and enjoyable. Not at all expensive and sadly not well attended.
