“A touch of local colour”
Reviewed October 29, 2012

Don't expect anything fancy here, this is a local bar for locals. However, the beer was very good and the food was simple but well prepared and tasty, it was also very reasonably priced.

“Kafkaesque Prague”
Reviewed September 30, 2012

This is a new discovery for in Prague though I've been here years. It truly captures the mysterious Prague vibe that only comes from stories passed down and traditions being stubbornly held onto. It is the Czech food with splashes of local brew strewn everywhere. When you're done drinking and filling up on fried edam cheese, you stumble out into the most beautiful view of the city. And you won't be broke when you leave. Go with a friend.

“nice front building but dirty and bad smelly smoky place”
Reviewed September 26, 2012

Near by Prague Castle a rather cheap place to drink smoke and eat.
Place is hold by two boorish guys.
It is not really a restaurant but they serve food to go with beers.
Food is as simple as a typical synthetic sausage with soft mustard, thank can serve also quick cooked ham with two eggs.
Regarding food: pass your way!

Beer is cheap but tables are dirty, old, used and as it is allowed to smoke in public place, the area smells bad even cold or fresh smoking.

“Great traditional drinking hole”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

I stumbled upon this old pub after visiting Prague castle; it is a traditional drinking place that also serves snacks. Although there was a segregation of tourists and locals with the locals having a reserved table the pub had a great atmosphere so much so that it would be easy to spend an extended time drinking beer, especially as the beer tasted so good. The service was initially surly however after a few drinks it was good humoured and pleasant.

“Prague as it was before tourist era”
Reviewed September 11, 2012

Tables and benches at least 30 years old, same old good beer, fantastic feel of Prague as it used to be before tourists came and changed this city for ever. Do not miss,
