Service was a bit rushed because we arrived without a reservation but, to their credit, they managed to fit us in despite being very busy.

Atmosphere is quirky and interesting - worth seeing. The food was delicious. Great place in a city where it's often difficult to find good quality veggie food.

Go here and then to Hemingway's around the corner!

“Cheap, excellent service and food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 28, 2013

We had lunch twice, Sunday and Monday. Thay have a low budget (except weekends) daily menu for only 110 crowns, one starter, main dish and still water. We had tomato soup and a cous-cous with roasted goat cheese, nuts, and other vegetables (quite tasty and good). We also ordered two coffees for 40 crowns extra each. You can complete your menu with beverages (beer or wine) and dessert from the menu list. In total you will pay around 200 crowns.
On Sunday we had two starters, two main dishes, two desserts, two glasses of wine and paid 700 crowns. Everything fine, the asian dish was a bit spicy but it was asian so it was not a surprise.
Friendly and helpful staff, decoration is beautiful and original. Local is not big, tables are for two/four to create a romantic/intimate atmosphere.
If you intent to go, you’d better make a reservation to avoid waiting.

“Good food, kind service, cheap: recommended!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013 via mobile

This restaurant serves good food, but do not expect to find something extraordinary. Dishes are well cooked, but they were not able to give "personality" to one of the dishes we had: the big clear head. However, we personally liked the "tofoie gras", that is the vegetarian version of the foie gras, the Italian risotto and the home made cheesecake. The atmosphere is nice and suggestive, a little fancy, and regarding the price, it is really cheap: 43 ? for three people having one starter, three main dishes, a side dish, a piece of cake, beer, water and cucumber juice. Staff really friendly and kind. Recommended!

“It's nice but over rated.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 27, 2013

We were looking forward to this and were not suprised when we visited and it was full to the brim. We hadn't booked so they asked us to come back in an hour and it was a bit quieter when we returned. The place had a very hippie feel to it and is a mix of different art styles.

We were disapponted straight away with the slow service, after being seated it took nearly 15 minutes for someone to come and take our drink orders. By that time we had decided on the food and ordered everything together. The starter came 10 minutes later but we still hadn't got our drinks. Finally our drinks came half way through the starter, nearly half an hour after we arrived. The food was OK, comparable to what we've had in vegetarian restaurants in the UK but nothing spectacular. The portions were a good size and whilst its not as cheap as some people say, it's still fairly good value for money.

An oddity we noticed is that if you pay by credit card, they bring out one of those old machines that makes a carbon copy of your card number. I haven't seen one of those in over a decade, I'm not sure if they are just old fashioned or use it for the nostalgia value, either way it's not as secure as the modern chip and pin devices that everybody else uses. Also, there is only one toilet and by the end of the lunch shift it was in a such a state that my wife refused to use it.

Overall it was nice but we wouldn't go again.

“lovely vegetarian restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2013

We had read reviews of this place on here and wanted to go to it but when we phoned to book they were already full, however they said that if we came along they would try to fit us in.We went just after 8pm and we did get a table after waiting for 5 or 10 minutes at a seat in the entrance .It was certainly worth it.The decor is lovely and original and there was a great atmosphere as the place was full.We had a dish of grilled goats cheese on potato with veg and a noodle dish , both of which were delicious!Other reviewers said this place was hard to find ,but we found it without any problem. The prices were reasonable with the main courses around £7 and wine was £1.50 a glass.
