“Honey shots”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

Really enjoyed a few drinks in this brewery/pub. Great atmosphere, beer and shots! We loved the accordion player who always had a huge smile on his face. Definitely the highlight for us on our trip!

“A hidden gem!”
Reviewed January 27, 2013

A great place to visit in the spring......dine on delicious Czech fare under the beautiful canopy of red chestnut blossoms in their unique courtyard. Trays of their excellent dark beer plus accordian music made it a beautiful venue. My Czech husband and I had the roast duck with two types of sauerkraut (red & white) plus three types of dumplings. Absolutely delicious and tasted like home cooking! Popular place for both tourists and travellers. We always make a point of going there everytime we visit Prague.

“Touristy and rude”
Reviewed January 21, 2013

Big open halls full of smoke and rude staff. Fun for it's traditional cuisine and atmosphere but be prepared to choke a bit and likely be insulted or ignored by the staff (waiters/host alike).

“Touristy, but good”
Reviewed January 20, 2013

Took my family here and it was good. The beer was very good and the food was good as well. A little touristy, but it was fun listening and watching the accordion player walk around playing his music. Typical Czech type foods and beer, nothing fancy.

“Fun place, decent food”
Reviewed January 19, 2013

Although this was not the best food I have ever had, it was good and very filling. The sausages were excellent, the other meats were good, and the dumplings were extremely filling. But the best reason to come here is the atmosphere. It was an extremely entertaining place, with the waiters rushing around and the ancient accordion player doing his best to make sure everyone was having a great time. So if you need something to do on an extra evening, go say hello to the old fella with the accordion - you will be glad you did. And have one of their dark beers, and maybe even some honey wine if you like really sweet wine!
