We came to this bar because of the reviews of great staff. Being quiet seasons when we got there we were the only ones there. We were told on the way in to go straight downstairs, not greeted. One of the guys came down shortly after. He was vaguely helpful and did explain the drink as he made it. Then left us there and never came back. We finished our drink, spent time some selecting the next one and waited. Around 20 minutes later we figured no one was coming and left. My girlfriend had been upstairs and couldn't even see anyone around. They didn't speak to us as we paid they just talked between themselves. For over $50 aud you would expect a bit more. Amazing reviews from others though so maybe just a combination of quiet season and no one else there. So I would advise take a look inside, see if others are being served and interacted with then maybe give it a shot. But if its quiet or the service looks slow bail somewhere else.
The place is greatly decorated - a dystopian reality in an underground cellar. The staff is really helpful and will show you how to create your own absinthe cocktail! Recommended to visit once to get an idea of how absinthe shops in Prague operate!
So there is much to be said about Prague’s bar scene! It’s eclectic and unique. But if I have to pick one bar, it’s definitely The Green Devil. I found this place on TripAdvisor and figured with maybe only one night to bar hop I would check this place out. I met a friend within my travel group and we set out. This place has it all! Ambiance, presence, customer service and history! Our bartender was a young lady from Ukraine and she was marvelous. (If I can post the video, I will.) We we’re treated to a wonderful experience and education on the history and differences of Absinthe. She recommended her favorite drink which I had and agree completely. We tasted other kinds of absinthe in small shots. Basically this bar, and it’s energy is nothing I have experienced in my home of Las Vegas, NV or my travels around the world! No question, this is a must on the travel list!
We loved the absinth bar the girl who served us was brilliant and helped out with our choice and was very informative we loved it.
This was a great find we went into on a whim. The drinks were smooth and the staff were very friendly. Lots of unusual decorations which we loved. Definitely recommend for an evening. Relaxed atmosphere.
Awesome place to hangout with friends, very nice staff, and decoration is so cool, you can keep exploring it the whole evening! Totally recommend!
