Such a lovely little gallery full of amazing miniature art! The ticket lady was friendly and helpful too. Highly recommended if you’re into something magical and collectible!
What an amazing artist! the works are stunning and you almost cannot believe it's real. statues on the needle or hair, smallest book in the world, and so on. You will be amazed.
I wanted to take my son here as it was recommended as 'good for kids' in my tour book. It took a while to yet to and a bit of a walk. Although the exhibits were amazing (as others have described) there were very few of them. I actually thought we were in the museum foyer and didn't realise that WAS the museum in its entirety! We felt a little ripped off given the admission price. It would be worth a look if it was cheaper. Also the mirror maze on petrin hill is similarly overpriced. If you are on a budget the zoo and castle is better value for money for kids. However the museum is in a lovely area and near loreta and a monestery. It's quieter than the new and old town areas with nice shops/cafés. You can wander down the hill afterwards to the castle and the lesser town.
This small museum was one of the highlights of our trip to Prague. The items are exquisite, all displayed under microscopes. It's simply an amazing, unique display of things like gold "horseshoes" fitting a mosquito, beautiful scenes carved into seeds, and the like. It is in a hilly part of the city above the Castle. Definitely worth seeking out!
Really not worth the price, we went round it in 10 mins and it cost far too much for what it was. Yes it was all fascinating but the price was way too high
We stumbled upon this very unusual and quirky museum in the courtyard of the Strahov Monastery. The museum is very small, consisting of two rooms, with about 30 or so exhibits, most of which were by the truly amazing Siberian micro-miniature artist Anatoly Konenko.
With each artpiece is a microscope/magnifying glass with which you can view the intricate details. We were amazed by the caravan of camels in the eye of a needle, as well as the flea shod with gold horseshoes, and the 3.2mm tall 3-D Eiffel Tower made out of cherry seed.
