My wife and I settled here for 5 days and were very impressed. At our request they arranged for transport which was waiting upon our arrival. The Amigo is located in a quiet area yet within easy walking distance of transport hubs. Staff extremely helpful and the rooms were comfy quiet and clean. Thank you Amigo for adding to our fantastic holiday!

We stayed in this Hotel for 3 nights. Everything was good. Nice and cosy room with Air Conditioning. Breakfast was also good. They have a tea and coffee maker in the room but is on chargeable basis. They should make this at least Free of Charge. The nearest tram station is about 5-7 minutes walk away and then you are connected everywhere. Wi Fi signal was weak in the room but manageable.

Dear Sids,
We appreciate all your positive comments, thank you for sharing them! Taking into consideration the attractive prices of accommodation in a top 4* hotel, we do not have mini-bar and coffee/tea complimentary; however, anyone can definitely enjoy it at an affordable price if they want to. We will be looking forward to your next visit!
Have a great day!
Best Regards

The staff at Amigo City Centre are exceptional. Before arriving, Nadia at the front desk had already arranged our tour to Cesky Krumlov, free boat ride and to receive our Polrail train tickets on our behalf. The breakfast staff were also extremely kind and helpful and breakfast was delicious and varied each day. We stayed in a family apartment which consists of 2 bedrooms, entry and bathroom. As per previous comments, the light does come in to the rooms so keep your sleep mask off the plane if you're not an early bird. Tea and coffee consumed in the rooms is charged under mini-bar conditions so you might want to pack your own. Using the number 22 tram from a nearby station will get you around to many of the best sights including the Charles Bridge and Old Town.

The hotel room and the bathroom were very clean and the staff were very friendly and informative but there were a few items that impacted negatively on our three day stay.

- the walk to public transport was around 8 minutes. Too long for us after a day of sightseeing.
- walk to hotel recommended restaurants was around 10 minutes, again too far.
- in our room, the curtains did not close fully and without block out blinds/curtains we awoke very early on a daily basis. On a positive note we were always early for breakfast and out and about early. Breakfast was abundant and with lots of variety.
- the shower handle in the bathroom leaked providing a spray of its own.
- when changing money the receptionist advised us that the hotel rate was a very good rate and we later found out that it was 10% worse that the money changers.
Furthermore, we booked our hotel in euros and when we checked in our credit card was already charged in local currency (booked amount in euros times a much higher rate than we changed our money), and I can guess that upon the double conversion to euros we will end up paying more euros than the rate we booked.
This could be a smart way to minimise commissions paid to agents and web sites

In conclusion, we had an average experience taking into consideration the price I think we have paid. Will know when the c/c statement arrives.
I would look for a hotel nearer to the centre the next time and closer to public transport.

Dear Guest
We really appreciate your positive comments about our friendly and informative staff and rich breakfast which is a great start for the day. The clients’ opinion is a top priority for us and it helps us to constantly improve, therefore we also appreciate your other comments and will use them to improve our services. You are right that we are not located right in the shopping area which starts on Wenceslas square, however, a walk from there lasts about 10 minute (since we are located in Legerova st.15) passing many historical buildings and guests usually find that also interesting being satisfied with having a food store and restaurants with local food around the hotel. I understand that it’s a matter of expectations and opinion though, for which I thank you very much. We do provide currency exchange, which as stated on the sheet with rates displayed at the reception desk has 10% commission included. Even though we have been members of the EU for many years, the Czech Republic unfortunately haven’t accepted EURO yet, therefore if you wish to pay by a credit card, there is no other option, but to charge it in CZK; however, we also accept payment cash in EUR, USD, GBP, and CZK. I appreciate all the comments you provided us with, thank you very much! We will be happy to see you again! Next time you plan to visit us again, make sure you contact us directly for the best rates!

Stayed in this hotel just a week ago. Booking and email communication was smooth and fast. Easy and cheap access from the airport by public transport (take bus 119 just in front of the airport which takes you to Dejvicka stop. There change for metro few stops to Muzeum, then change for the red line which takes you to IP Pavlova-only one stop from Muzeum. From IP Pavlova its only 5 mins walk to the hotel. Just make sure you walk into right direction to a big Legerova road,it's the one without trams.) We were welcomed by lovely receptionist girl called Nada, which was very helpful when it came to directions or restaurants recommendations. Other girl Lenka was very helpful too. Room was small but had everything we needed and was very clean. There is a coffee and tea making facilities in the room, but be aware that it is on extra cost.
Breakfast is just great. Plenty of choices for vegetarians as well, as I was bit afraid:) Different breads, cakes, cheeses, fresh vegetable, scrambled eggs, juices, musli and even nuts, seeds, fresh and dried fruit. Of course enough meat as well:) Just one little thing. Make sure you are on time(breakfast is served between 7-10am), cause the staff is very accurate with taking everything away at exactly 10:00. You will not get nice looks trying to get something just before 10:) I felt a bit pressured to quickly finish whatever i had on the plate and let them clean the place, as they were reaching for the empty cup or plate the second i put it down.
The location is great, 15 mins walk to Wenceslas square(city center, from there easy walk down towards the old city, charles bridge, castle), we walked all the time to enjoy the beautiful architecture. I would recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Prague.
