Charming hotel in quiet pedestrian area, but easy walk to Old Town sites. Breakfast is as wonderful as other reviewers have stated.
The wow factor here is the service. We have never experienced anything like it—not even at much more expensive 5 star hotels. First off, every staff member was relentlessly cheerful and willing to help with anything. It started when the hotel sent a driver to pick us up at the train station. Then at check-in, we were given a seat and offered wine, beer, and snacks. As we set off to tour the Jewish Quarter on our own the next morning, hotel staff said that another couple had not been able to make a tour the hotel had arranged and offered us the tour gratis as a gift from the hotel. Alice was an amazing guide!
We enjoyed restaurants the hotel recommended. Divinis and Al Dente are great Italian restaurants within a few minutes walk. We also loved a new small plates restaurant, Food Lab, which is about a 3 minute walk from the hotel.
Often overlooked but only two minutes away is the beautifully restored medieval St. Agnes Convent. It also has a jaw dropping collection of medieval art.
I don’t know how the owner Frank and his partner have managed to pull together such an extraordinary staff, but they should be leading seminars for other hotels. I am extremely grateful for all they did to make our stay so easy and pleasant. And I am glad that my husband spied a tip jar so that we could show our gratitude.
Lastly, I am extremely sensitive to noise. Although the hotel is in a quiet area, we turned on the fan in the heating/cooling system for the great white noise. I never heard a sound and slept undisturbed.
It would be a mistake to stay anywhere else in Prague.
