“Wonderful Hotel”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

My husband and I have just recently returned from a 4 night break at this wonderful hotel. We arrived 18/10/13 and departed on the 22/10/13. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were looked after by the friendly caring staff who would really go out of their way to make your stay as pleasurable as possible nothing was too much trouble! We stayed in room 304 on the 3rd floor very spacious and the deco was lovely and clean ,fabulous walk in shower! Must just say a big thank you for leaving fresh flowers in our room just little finishing touches like that made our stay special. The location was spot on within easy walking distance although Frank at the hotel does offer free transfers to many attractions nearby, but on this occasion we declined his very kind offer as we like to walk and walk off our lovely breakfast in the mornings. Their is something for everybody in the breakfast room ranging from cooked breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, pancakes, and not forgetting the continental breakfast with ham & cheeses and Danish pastries. Tea/ coffee/ juices etc. Complimentary beer and wine at the end of a long day always went down very well thank you!
This was our first time to Prague and I can honestly say this hotel and it's location is Highly recommended and given the opportunity we will defiantly return here to this wonderful place.

Room Tip: All rooms have free wifi.

We have just returned from a week in Prague and staying at Residence Agnes. The service was incomparable. I have never felt as such a welcome guest nor stayed in a hotel where the staff were so incredibly helpful. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the entire staff was suggesting activities to do, places to eat, places to shop and always got us to where we needed to go - either Frank, the owner, would drive us or they would order a complimentary taxi/transfer for us. Frank always greeted us, and all guests, with a smile and unparalleled warmth. The rooms were well appointed and clean. The breakfast buffet plentiful and delicious. And the location can't be beat - 5 minutes to the Old Town Square on a lovely, quiet street. I would definitely stay at Residence Agnes again if I make it back to Prague.

Not sure I can say anything that hasn't already been said...great location, amazing service, lovely rooms, plentiful breakfast, etc. We stayed on the 4th floor and while the elevator only goes to the 3rd floor, that was not an issue for us. In fact, I think the 4th floor is the quietest location. What makes this hotel worthy of a sixth star is the owner, Frank. He gets it. He gets what a traveller wants and the extras and small touches that make for a truly special experience.

From the moment we arrived the staff was warm and welcoming. Radka offered us wine, beer or coffee as we filled out our registration forms. She suggested activities for the day and a restaurant for dinner. Frank, the owner, was always around to offer sightseeing, food ,drinking, and shopping information. Then he would either take us to these places or arrange a ride. Refreshments were available throughout the day along with smiles and touring ideas. Our room was always clean and we even had fresh flowers. Breakfast was bountiful with a variety of offerings. Location was perfect...quiet but walking distance to most areas. We have traveled extensively and have never encountered this level of service. Good value and a wonderful stay. Highest recommendation. We wish Frank and his wonderful staff all the best.

Room Tip: Higher floors are roomier, although the slanted ceiling on the 4th floor could be inconvenient for a...

We only had two nights in this wonderful family owned and run hotel and booked it after other Tripadvisor recommendations. We were not disappointed and it exceded our expectations. Frank the owner offered (free) transfers to local attractions in his car for our second day after our organised tour. Breakfast was buffet style and plenty of fresh choices. Every evening after returning from sightseeing we were welcomed with complimentary beer, wine or tea/coffee in the foyer area with nibbles and on our last day we were to catch a late train at 10pm and were given a complimentary transfer. Service and attitude from all the staff was exemplorary and couldnt recommend this hotel more. In fact have already recommended to friends who have just booked.

We stayed 3 night at this wonderful owner´s attended place .
Perfectt localization, in a evry nice quarter, 2 blocks away from de Tram and Bus, and 5 blocks away from the center of Praga, so close to everything but away enough from the mass of tourists.!!

Agnes people have a great recipe for tourists: Nice place, great breakfast, helpful people and the solve you the problem of arriving an depart to airport, rails tation, etc..
Just recommended!

Room Tip: 203.. GREAT! big confortable

Just saying what everyone else says about this hotel, pleasant helpful staff who take the time to help you plan your day, and check everything is to your satisfaction. Small hotel, with excellent quality rooms and en-suite shower rooms. Breakfast is buffet style, lots of choice of fresh fruit, cereals, breads, cheese, ham, cooked options and pancakes. Only 5 minute stroll to the busy tourist areas, but worth it to have a peaceful sleep each night. Frank took us up to the Castle, making it an easy stroll down through the attractions and back to town for a late lunch. Would definitely stay there again if returning to Prague.
