Spent a three day holiday over the weekend. It was our first time in Prague, not sure what to expect. Arriving at Prague airport we were stuck behind some travellers from Malaysia in the passport desk queue. My wife noted the time it took the passport/boarder guard to clear each of the Malaysians. It took the man thirty seconds or so to stare the print off the passports of the Mixed group of Malaysian tourists.
It was a small wait whilst the man arrived for our private shuttle transfer.
When we arrived at the hotel, it was an efficient check in.
The hotel room was very good, with a bath.
We had booked the half board option, the evening meal was very good. The breakfast was excellent, a wide choice, the staff in the hotel restaurant were polite and they spoke excellent hotel English as the manager of the restaurant explained.
He explained that we could buy any alcoholic drink over 20% proof, as there had been 19 deaths of people dying from drinking bootleg wood alcohol.
It was a problem for me in that the barman in the lobby bar was not sure if Amaretto was included in the ban.
Prague is an English woman's delight , what with there being branches of Debenhams, C&A, and Marks and Spencer in the Wenscelas square. I was seduced by a Starbucks.
The river that runs through the city it is well worth going on.
Prague has cultural attractions in an abundance, though there are tour bus companies, unfortunately the one we chose was not that efficient, the young girl who took the voucher we had purchased from the hotel where we bought it. She took the voucher. It was a matter of ten minutes before she gave us wrong tickets, ones that had been validated before we had left the UK. It was the same girl, who, when we returned from the trip on the river to board the bus, told us that are tickets were not valid. I was embarrassed by the situation, as it looked as though we were trying to cheat. After a mile walk back to our hotel, we asked the hotel staff on reception for their help.
They dealt with the problem efficiently, securing us a extension of a further day on the bus ticket and an apology.
We spent a wonderful afternoon eating a nice lunch near the Charles Bridge.
On our return to Prague airport after a excellent transfer. We were in the queue to check in. There was two check in queues, in the adjacent queue was a family who were not white, our queue move at a pace whilst the other queue stalled. I'm not saying that the airport staff are racist, more like over worked people not dealing with things with a great deal of sensitivy.
We will return to Prague for another visit, hopefully we will be able to visit some more of the many cultural sites that there are in this city. We did not get a chance to vist Prague Castle which looked to be very impressive.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel. We arrived late and the staff were most helpful in getting us to our room and providing advice about Prague. We were warned about money changing and pickpockets!! The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom including a bath. The hotel has a couple of restaurants - even arriving after 9pm we were able to enjoy a delicious meal - reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good - a large selection of hot and cold food catering for all tastes. It is located close to Wenceslas Square and is about a 15 minute walk to the train station. Lots of cafes nearby. We found easy to walk to all of the main sights. We would definitely stay there again.

All of the hotel staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The Hotel is well located within 200 meters of Wenceslos Square. The hotel has an excellent Thai Massage centre "Lhamo Spa". I went for a 60 minute Thai massage following a days cycle trip along the banks of the Vltava, and Lenka not only gave an excellent massage, but also provided advice on where to eat as well as witty insight into both Czech and Tibetan culture, all with a charming smile.

We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights whilst enjoying a city break in Prague. We arrived late at night and the reception staff were very welcoming and sorted out room out very quickly. The room was clean and spacious, my only negative is that they put us in a roof top room and the window was very small and set it one corner. This did not allow much light nor give us any view, even if it was the building opposite. Only a minor issue, nothing to complain over. The breakfast in the hotel was ok, it catered for all tastes. Not all were to suit my tastes but the pastries that we had were yummy. The bar area was small but reasonably priced, no complaints there. The hotel also offers free wifi, which I thought was a nice added extra. The hotel was situated just of Wenceslas Square, which is great for shopping and a few restaurants. It does become a little seedy in the evenings with dodgy looking characters selling all sorts on the street corners and the strip joints but I didnt once feel unsafe. Overall, I found Prague to be a safe city. The hotel is also a short walk, maybe 10 minutes to the old town square and the another 5 minutes or so from the Charles Bridge. I would recommend this hotel to other travellers to Prague.
