“nice clean room”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 5, 2011

The room was very clean and quite big, perfectly fit for two friends travelling together.
Breakfast was extremely rich! Cereals, cakes and any kind of beverage were fully at customers' disposal.
tHe hotel was very nice and only 5 minutes walk from Venceslav square and the metro... but next time I'd rather have an hotel right in the old town.
Staff very helpful and nice.

My partner and two good friends have just returned from a fabulous 3 night break at this lovely hotel. Even though the check in staff were dealing with the check in of a fairly large party when we got there, they were swift and courteous and delt with the masses quickly and with little fuss. The rooms we had were only with showers although the majority of the rooms on our floor did have baths.Tea and coffee making facilities and these are topped up daily. We requested more pillows and within 10 mins they arrived to our room but our friends didn't get their extra pillows until the 4th time of asking(just a small gripe there) The hotel is right in the centre of everything and all attractions were walking distance away. Breakfast was very good and sustained us through the day until tea time.Hot options, lovely fresh fruit plate and continental all available. Only downside was that the breakfast room was a little small for the volume of people. However the waiters and waitress were swift at clearing tables amd prepping them ready for the next guests. We were on the 4th floor rooms small but well appointed and very clean(maid service daily) Mini bar pricey and drinks as you would expect expensive within the hotel. However the bars round about were cheap enough. Pleanty of places to eat stick to the old town if you want value for money. This is a most wonderful city the Czech people were so welcoming and we would most deffinately return to this great hotel and reccomend it to others.

Just returned from a 4-day break at this hotel. We had previously stayed in the old town but this location was only 10 mins away so still good for walking everywhere - we didn't need to use transport. We were able to check into the hotel when we arrived during the morning which was good as we had an early start. The room was fine, no view to speak of, and not very big but adequate. Very clean - especially the bathroom and a bonus to have bath robes. Housekeeping - not good at replenishing coffee and tea things or bathroom items. Do bring your own teabags if you like a decent cuppa. Also poor TV choice - World News gets a bit repetitive - although you don't go to Prague to watch TV! Our room was on 5th floor and very quiet so well away from the Havana Club. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast was OK - not served in the usual restaurant for the first two days of our stay - and this was somewhat chaotic and crowded - but the return to the main restaurant on the next day was much better. Would possibly stay again if a good deal.

Stayed at this hotel at end of Nov as part of a 'christmas markets' package. Good central location - walked everywhere. All hotel facilities were very clean, especially bathrooms which were highly polished and as good as new. Reception staff were excellent - especially David the trainee. Breakfast was excellent, buffet style, with choice of cold meats/ cheese, bacon/egg/beans/mushrooms etc, cereal, cakes or all of the above!
Good sized rooms, not much choice of tv programmes in english so it would have been better if internet in rooms was wifi (it is in reception) rather than rj45 cable.
Not sure if music we could hear at night (not too loud) was from Havana Club or elsewhere. Havana is open daily but we didn't hear any noise on the monday night.

Room Tip: Higher floors will be quieter

Just got back from a long weekend in Prague, stayed in the BW Majestic Plaza. I was a little worried as I booked the deal a little while ago, the reviews then were really positive. Looked again just before we went and they were a little less re-assuring, people stating that they were kept awake all night by the hotel disco and that the hotel staff were really rude and unfriendly. Well, my experience couldn't have been different. We were allocated a room on the 3rd floor, a nice double, small but with nice and large clean bathroom. The breakfast was good with a varied choice, although the breakfast room itself wasn't big enough for that size hotel. On the first day we waited to be seated, so when no one came to seat us, we had to squeeze onto someone else's table.

Prague itself was lovely with all the Christmas markets, music and lights around the squares, etc. I had looked at other reviews to see how to get to the hotel, lots of comments about the taxi's being a rip off, so decided to use the public transport, much to my partners dismay. It couldn't have been easier, went to the information desk at the airport, bought 2 tickets for 32czk each, which is less than £1.50 each, took the 119 bus from the airport to Dejvicka, then got the metro line A (Green) to Mustek, this comes out at the bottom of Wenceslas Square, walked up the square and the road Stepanska which is either the first or second road on your right hand side, the hotel is then just 200 yards up on the right. I was going to by a travel ticket for the whole weekend, but everything is so close that we walked, lots of cobbled streets, so take your flats. A scarf, gloves and hat are a must at this time of year, didn't take a hat or warm gloves and had to buy some, the clothes really aren't cheap there.

Lots to see and do, the castle is lovely, but they charge you to enter everything, the main building, the guard room, the church and even the toilet. Prices in the main squares and by the castle are higher, so if your on a budget stick to the side streets. My partner had been a few years ago and said that they take euros everywhere, so we took some euros that we had left over, this was a mistake, lots of the cafe's and restaurants, shops will only take the koruna and the exchange rate, especially from the euro was terrible, also you need to watch out for the exchange rate, they show a buy/sell rate and also a rate for larger and smaller transactions, they were offering half the rate by the castle as further into town.

Room Tip: Anything about the 3rd floor i guess would be a good start and state if you want a double.

Lovely Hotel, all staff were very helpful and friendly,Room was cleaned and towels refreshed daily,Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice. The only one complaint that I would have was that we had to pay extra to use the sauna and jacuzzi.
Location to Wencelas Square and old Town

Staff at reception was very friendly, hotel accepts travellers with pets (we were with a dog). Our room was very nice, a bathroom is great and very clean. A double bed is worth to mention, it was very comfortable. Although the hotel is not big, there are a few lifts (I have used 3, but maybe there are more) located in different parts of a hotel, and it was comfortable to use one's closer to our room.
Location is excellent, in the main centre of Prague, I definitely recommend it.
Unfortunately, the breakfast hall was very disappointing! It feels as if you are in a youth hostel (there are no enough place to seat not too close to other people), and the hall looks like a temporary room to feed people by occasion.
