We booked a 2-bed apartment at Residence Rybna (No.13) for a long weekend in April/May. Overall I would say it certainly met my expectations (+ my husband said it exceeded his). It was slightly smaller than the impression I'd had from the website but actually perfect for our family of 2 adults, 2 young children and a toddler, given that we spent most of our time out and about anyway: open-plan living/dining room and kitchen, 2 interconnecting bedrooms and a spacious bathroom, with a lovely hot shower.
(NOTE: apartment No. 13 might not be suitable for two couples as there is no door between the bedrooms.)
Everything felt fairly new and smart; the kitchen was very well equipped, and although we hadn't expected to find a washing machine in the apartment we did end up making use of it (toddler + ice cream = big, sticky mess). Great location, just round the corner from the Powder Tower + Namesti Republiky metro station (and various trams) and walking distance to pretty much anywhere, but nicely removed from the noise and congestion. Big supermarket 5 mins walk away.
I thought the service was excellent - Simona emailed us a couple of weeks before our arrival to check any specific requests (baby cot, airport transfers, etc.), and she responded quickly to all emails. The beds weren't made up quite as we'd requested when we arrived (i.e. two doubles rather than one double, two singles), so I sent a quick mail to Simona and by the time we got back from lunch the housekeeper had already been in and changed it - was very impressed! Also didn't expect daily housekeeping, so that was a nice surprise too. Better value than a hotel of similar standard, and v. practical when travelling with young children. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Rybna apartments and would definitely book again with Prague City Apartments in the future.
What we liked best: the service from Simona, the location and the standard of the facilities;
What we liked least (but these were only minor issues and didn't affect our enjoyment of the weekend!): no door between bedrooms, and airport transfer was quite expensive. Would arrange privately in future.
