“Great Hotel and fabulous Restaurant”
Reviewed January 27, 2012

When in Prague, I normally choose hotels close to Central train station (Praha Hlavni Nadrazi), as I always need to travel between cities. Last week I tried this hotel, and for sure I will be back. Front Desk staff is incredibly efficient, and always serve you with smile (one of the hardest things to find in Prague).

Hotel room was fine, very cozy, and fully equiped. I stayed at 3rd floor, Room 311, facing Politickych Veznu street, but without any noise inside the room, due to noise reduction windows.

I also tried the restaurant, Mr A, as I was impressed by the great ambient during breakfast, which was also very good. Meal was very very tasty, and flawless service.

2 small negative points about this hotel: mattress (too soft to me), and internet connection (slow). Apart from these details, everything was absolutely perfect. Will definatelly come back!

We chose this hotel to stay in Prague during our wedding & some days after.
The room was beautiful, clean and well designed. The breakfast was delicious, every day there were new meals from chief-cooker. We also used gym and it was nice although we had to pay for it. The location of the hotel is a plus - 2 minutes walk from Vaclavske namesti, 10-12 minutes to the Staromestska Namesti. There was a car rent in front of the hotel so we booked a car via internet and the pick it up after wedding very quickly.

Very clean and decent hotel. the room is of good space. Toilette is very clean with bidet. the staff are very helpful & caring. The breakfast is fine with good taste. the hotel is very close to the walk street on the border of both old & new town areas. Hell of shopping around the hotel.
Halal food also in front of the hotel. Money exchange every where around the hotel. A muslim mosque in the adjacent building, 2nd floor. The sauna & fitness is not opening all the day and a family can reserve it, so you can not access it.
N.B. My stay was in July 2010.

We just enjoyed new year in Prague and stayed a few days in this hotel, it is on a great location and looks modern. A warm welcome when you arrive, great breakfast buffet with a lot of choice, nice bed and a good sauna. Als the restaurant is really worth trying (the restaurant is really quiet but the food has a good value and is fresh). The only feedback we have is that after 11 in the morning there is no hot water in the shower, so for the people who likes to sleep in: you will really wake up after the shower ;-) With a next visit to Prague I will definitely choose this hotel again!

The hotel was very nicely decorated and was in a great location for exploring prague and the Christmas markets. The staff was very courteous, friendly and helpful. Rooms are nice, comfortable and well isolated. Internet connection in room was good as well. Nothing fancy about the accommodations, but priced reasonably for what you get. Morning breakfast buffet was pretty well stocked with almost everything one could want.
Coffee service was non-existent.

We spent a wonderful 4 days in Prague and stayed at Hotel Sovereign. The reception staff were welcoming, friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean, very comfortable and a decent size with tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice from cereals, fruit, cold meats, cheese and pate to bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, mushrooms plus cakes and pastries. The location of the hotel was excellent - only a 5 minute walk to Wenceslas Square and the nearest Metro station and a large selection of cafes, restaurants and bars. The Christmas markets were lovely too!

We had read from various other reviews that the Czech people (mainly waiters etc) were often rude but we found them to be very friendly - perhaps we were just lucky? All in all a delightful experience and, like Arnie, we will be back!
