“Best Place to Stay in Prague”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 10, 2012

We have just returned from Prague, and it's magical Christmas Market. We stayed at the Savic Hotel,as we did on a previous visit.Since our last visit the hotel has maintained and even improved it's standards. It is perfectly placed for all Prague has to offer and all the staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautifully kept.An excellent buffet breakfast is served and dinner is also available in the hotel. For it's position just off Old Time Square alone, the Savic excels. That all the elements that make for a terrific hotel experience are also present is a superb bonus.

My husband & I and 4 friends spent 5 days in Prague to experience the Christmas Market. Having been advised by some friends , who had stayed at The Savic last year, we booked this hotel. What a welcome 'garden' of peace and hospitality it was. From the moment we arrived to the minute of departure, we could not have had better service and attention - from all the staff. The rooms are spacious , very clean and comfortable and well equipped - tea & coffee + gorgeous toiletries- and rather quirky, every floor has its own sitting room, with superb furniture. Breakfasts were wonderful - make sure you ask for 1 poached egg, as 2 is the normal serving; and there was porrage. We can thoroughly recommend the gin & tonic. Tickets for guides, a concert and the tram were booked for us at the desk, saving us a lot of agitation. we would certainly book there again. Look out for the sparkling chanderliers.

Room Tip: We were on the 3rd floor and found the location perfect.

we have just returned from 4 nights in beautiful in Prague, this was our second visit to the city
We stayed at the Savic Hotel which was perfectly positioned just off the old square.

The hotel was once a Monastery and some of the old fixture and fitting remain in the hotel. We stayed in one of the Superior rooms with a ceiling that dated from the old monastery. The room was excellent and very comfortable with all mod cons. The cleanliness of the room and hotel was again excellent.

My only moan was that the breakfast was a little boring. The same choice every morning.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. When we booked in we were treated to a drink and given all the info we would need to make our trip run smoothly. Brilliant knowledge of the local area and transport links etc.

I would not hesitate to book into the hotel again or recommend it.

Room Tip: any room in the hotel would be good value

We stayed for 3 nights in the executive suite (room 204) and all I can say is WOW! it was amazing, location is fantastic and the service was great. The quality of everything was fantastic, L'Occitane bathroom products, bathroom was out of this world! there are even built in night lights if you want them! Not many english tv channels and I was slightly disappointed with the choice at breakfast but all in all a fantastic hotel in a stunning country, I wouldn't hesitate in going back there. We got the hotel taxi from the airport which cost about £20 but got the metro and bus from the hotel to the airport for £2 total for 2 of us! It was really easy so if we went again I wouldn't waste money on a taxi.

Room Tip: Bathroom in 204 even had a tele above the bath!

We recently stayed in the Hotel Savic based on Trip Advisor reviews and booked through Expedia. I was a little nervous as I was responsible for choosing the hotel for four of us. No need to worry, the hotel was fabulous. Our room was on the top floor in the attic/eves and was so pretty with original wooden beams and wooden floors, lovely bathroom and walk in wardrobe. All toiletries, Nespresso coffee machine, lots of towels, hairdryer, mini bar etc were provided. The rooms was lovely and warm whilst -2 degrees outside. Breakfast was included in the rate and as well as the usual hot & cold buffet there was a chef on hand to cook eggs any style to order.

The receptionist was extremely helpful and we were served complimentary pink champagne and local beer on arrival, servie from all the staff was exceptional.

The location could not have been better either, just a couple of cobbled streets away from the main Old Town Square.

All in all, absolutely nothing to even grumble about, a really splendid hotel.

Room Tip: Our room in the eves was very quiet as located high up in the middle of the building, but you do hav...

We used the hotels airport service and it went perfectly. I got chatting to our driver early and got good advice on some good venues on the route to the hotel.
On arrival we were greeted by Jana who deserves special mention. She has to be the most welcoming receptionist ever and we were lucky to get an upgrade room and a bottle of Champagne when she realized my wife was turning 50 the following day.
The hotel is lovely as was our room. Huge beautifully decorated period room. We were only booked in for one night as we couldn't get the Arcadia for all five of our nights. We scored on both accounts. Breakfast was served down stairs and provided a great start to a long walking day.
The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the old town.
I thoroughly recommend this hotel. Price was excellent too.
Right next door is a wonderful micro brewery. What more can a man ask for.

Room Tip: Didnt mean to enter score for fitness suite. Dont think there is one. May be wrong though
