Lovely boutique hotel at a great price. Fantastic location. Complimentary bottle of wine in room nice touch. Staff friendly. On the downside, no tea and coffe making facilities in the room and the hotel bar closed at 10pm which was early for a city centre hotel.

House at the Three Storks is a clean, modern, centrally located hotel. It is perfect for a short stay in Prague. The cons: small room, no kettle in room, poor wifi connection on top floor, bed advertised as king size but wasn't. The pros: clean, comfortable, good breakfast, great location, good price. I have been to Prague a few times and prefer to be on the other side of the river as the streets are empty around the government buildings in Lesser Town. However, crossing the Charles bridge and seeing it in the morning and the night is always enchanting. You can't go wrong with this hotel, it's a safe bet, but not too exciting.

Room Tip: Try not to get a room on the top floor as you have to go outside in the cold to get to the room. The...

We have just returned from a four night stay in this hotel and can honestly say it was wonderful. The hotel was clean and inviting and the staff really helpful, breakfast was continental or full English although it was frankfurters and not English sausages, but there was plenty to eat and drink. Although there is a car park and the Parliament buildings right next door you could hardly hear the traffic. The location is perfect for the castle and Charles bridge and no need to get the trams as everywhere was within walking distance. A first class accommodation and location.

Great boutique hotel within walking distance to both the castle and Charles bridge. We went at a particularly cold time and when checking in we were told the pipes in our room had frozen! The concierge were extremely helpful and offered to transfer us to a nearby 5 star hotel but instead we decided to wait a few hours to see if maintenance could fix the problem. Thankfully the pipes were thawed and we were able to stay at the three storks. We had room 33 which was on the top floor and had beautiful beams and lovely floors. The room was very large with modern fixtures and great views. My partner and i would definitely recommend booking and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Room Tip: Deluxe room 33

We have just returned from three nights at this delightful hotel in Prague. The location in perfect, just below the Castle and just 3 minutes walk from Charles Bridge. The modern, stylish interiors blend seamlessly with the old building. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. We used the hotel restaurant on the first evening, which was good, but found some very good restaurants within a short walk - which given the extremely low temeperatures during our stay was important. If I were to return to Prague, I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Luxurious design hotel is located in the very heart of the historical centre of Prague near the Charles Bridge and the Old Town as well as all other monuments. It offers a fantastic view of the Prague Castle and the Wallenstein Palace. Enjoy the harmony of the preserved renaissance interior and progressive design by the best Czech architects. All hotel rooms are equipped with unique design furniture, futurist bathrooms, air conditioning with individual controls, LCD television, DVD players with a rich choice of DVDs, high-speed WiFi Internet connection, a desk and a safe deposit. In the renowned Wallenstein pub you can engage in an unforgettable culinary experience. You can also enjoy a cup of coffee or a drink in the cosy lobby bar or the hotel's glass patio. Breakfast is served in the form of a rich hot buffet. An air-conditioned fully equipped conference room for 30 persons is available for conferences, business negotiations and presentations. A limited number of parking places is available directly in front of the hotel. The first mentions of the house, sometimes also called Altmann House or House at the Kings Magi, date back to the 14th century when, in this locality, the Augustinian Order founded the first Monasterial Brewery of St.Thomas. The only reminder of this period preserved until today is a large Gothic cellar. In the first half of the 17th century, the house was reconstructed in the Renaissance style and given the name of House at the Three Storks and a house sign embossed with three storks. Today's appearance of the facade comes from the Classicist reconstruction in 1794 and 1820, when the connection with three neighbouring buildings resulted in the current aspect of the whole house. The facade with the house sign on a stone plaque and the main portal date precisely from this period. In the 1930s, the history of the renowned Wallenstein restaurant, named after famous Czech aristocratic family and frequented by number of well-known personalities, started evolving in this house. The name of the House at the Three Storks has its implication. The stork used to be a carrier of good news and blissful home. We strongly believe that every visit to this house will comply with the Latin saying originally placed under the house sign: "Frustra mundus invidet, quando Deus providet" - "The world envies in vain, when God takes care." ... more   less
