Absolutely beautiful city. So much history. Friendly people and very affordable. I took the 6 hour bus, walk and boat guided tour for about $50 which included lunch and coffee and cake towards the end of the tour. I was so impressed that I will go out of my way to visit there again next time. I stayed at a very small family run hotel that was only about a 20 minute ride by subway to the city center.

Prague is honestly a disappointment. One day is more than enough to see everything. Do not go to Prague if you like good food, a good nightlife, history and culture and friendly people. I fact, the people are rather rude and unwelcoming. Do not expect them to smile at you or help you find the way. Dlouha street and Karlivy Lazne, which are supposed to be the centre of Prague's nightlife, are absolutely dead. You won't find many youngsters in this city. And there's honestly not much to do.

Beautiful city full of wonderful monuments we did two walks a two hour night walk very interesting but if you go in December be sure to wear warm clothes and shoes ! Then we did a six hour walk with a pause for lunch during the day but be careful night falls early in Prague 4.30 more or less . The walk was very interesting! We also saw the Xmas markets and the famous squares plus crossing the river seeing the lovely bridges and up to the cathedral and palace. Of course we also saw the famous clock and were able to see it striking the hour !The only negative points are the inhabitants they aren’t very friendly and the food isn’t great but the town is well worth the visit!

The staff were friendly and the room was clean also just 10 min walk in to centre

We had the mindset as it's just somewhere to sleep but we could not even do that ,there is 2 little black doors in the wall of the opposite building and at about 8pm - 5am every night they open and it sounds like the busiest underground night club in Prague, people piling on to the street for cigarettes and fights and this goes on until early hours every day, i have stayed lots of places but this has to be the worst for noise I will be glad to get home for a good nights sleep , I had to take the mattress of another bed ans put on top of mine as it was that thin I could feel the wooden bits underneath it , after this it was ok

Spend a little more money and get a good nights sleep
