“Blown away by the amazing private rooms”
Reviewed September 10, 2011

This was my third visit to Prague and both times before I've gone for 100% luxury. Staying at the no1 rated my tripadvisor at the time 5 star Hotel Le Palais (which had a free minibar) and then a suite at the Aria Hotel. So when i was booked into the Czech Inn on a trip I was a bit worried by the name hostel but in the private room I was given I was just as bit happy as the five star hotels I've been in. The photos on the the website for the private rooms are very reflective I saw inside six rooms and mine was the favourite annoyingly I can't remember what no it was now. But is was a corner room which a huge room with a double bed and a couch/single bed. The shower was particularly stylish. I'd definitely go back. Breakfast wasn't included and I think I wouldn't bother with that again as you could go out and get better.

This place is amazing. The rooms are spacious, modern, and still very comfortable. It was such a relief to stay here after touring so many hostels in western Europe. The staff is friendly and very willing to help you find anything in the city. The showers are incredible and towels are included. The bar downstairs is cheap and cool and has free movie nights. Prague is a majestic city and this hotel/hostel/inn is just as majestic. Do yourself a favor and stay here!

I stayed at the Czech Inn for 2 nights after hearing great reviews. It was the very end of my backpacking trip so I splurged and got a private room. It cost roughly 50 euros (2,390 CZK) a night and was just incredible quality and so clean.

Facilities in the private room:
- beautiful double bed
- tea/coffee and kettle
- private bathroom
- towels, soaps, shampoo and amenities
... It doesn't sound like much but the whole place is just beautifully designed and feels rather luxurious.

Other great features of the hostel:
- great staff who always seem to be there
- not far out of town, with good directions on how to find the hostel
- close to a few small stores and restaurants
- a great Czech Inn map pointing out good places to visit and eat
- lots of activities, such as a trivia night and weekly movie nights (with free popcorn)
- very secure luggage storage facilities
- working free wi-fi
- completely secure building - you need to swipe your room card to use the lift!

One strange thing was the way my room was half-cleaned - bins were emptied & tea was refilled but towels weren't replaced and bed wasn't made. It was like someone interrupted the cleaners half-way.

Breakfast is 120 CZK, which I think is a little on the pricey side. Some meats and cheeses, a couple of cereals and juice/tea/coffee.

But absolutely no complaints about the Czech Inn - it was the perfect end to my trip and I highly recommend it.

Really cool decor, comfortable rooms & beds, facilities were excellent and the shower and washrooms were the best I've seen in a while.

Only problem would be the location, bit questionable at night-when we arrived there were men urinating on the side of the road.

Beautiful accommodation, extremely clean and stylish. My boyfriend and I stayed in a 6 bed room (NO BUNK BEDS! Amazing) and it was extremely roomy with great lockers underneath the bed to store your things. Any other hostel probably could have crammed 16+ beds in the same space. The bathrooms were super modern and nicer than most hotels. The bar had wonderful happy hour specials and was a great place to hang out. The area was a bit out of the way but well connected by tram. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. Particularly to families and couples as it's really not a conventional hostel. I think even my parents would approve of this place!

This hostel is much more like a hotel. Had a twin room which was very spacey, comfy beds and pillows and the room had a sink within it. Shared bathrooms were single shower n toilets located throughout the floor and they were really clean and modern. Great breakfast for cheap price. Have stayed in plenty of hostels and this beats them all by a mile, so happy I stayed here!

Czech Inn is the perfect hostel! It is super stylish, fun, comfy and has awesome staff. They have a stunning bar/restaurant and all the info you may need. They suggested great things to us and the maps they gave was excellent. We really loved staying at Czech Inn, it felt more like an boutique hotel than a hostel, the rooms and bathrooms was beautiful. We stayed in a 4 bed dorm. The value for money is great and we had an amazing time. It looks exactly as on their website and exceeded our expectations. It is a bit out of the main attractions but close to tram stops and easy to get from their to all the major attractions. I would go back again and again!
