We stayed at U Divadla for 3 nights. The room was comfortable and clean and the bathroom was very nice too with an excellent shower. The staff were always friendly and helpful. Although the hotel was quite busy the room was always quiet which was great. The internet connection was good even on the top floor and there is also a computer in reception with internet access if you need it. Breakfast was ok with plenty of cereal, yogurt, bread, toast, cheese etc, plus a limited hot selection which varied from day to day. It was not like you would get in a 5 star hotel, but then you are not paying 5 star prices! We did not use the secure parking but parked on the road outside the hotel, which was more convenient. We took the tram into Prague one day and found it very easy to do. The girls at reception were helpful in looking up which tram we needed to get to a specific location. We took the bus to the tram stop as it was just passing by, but walked back which took about 7 minutes. All in all we would recommend this hotel, although a little out of the centre it is good value for the price we paid.

We arrived 2 hrs before check in but the stay were so accommodating, they found us rooms and gave us our keys. The rooms were nice, big enough for just me so size was good. The staff were friendly and provided us with the transport details we needed to find our way around. Breakfast was good, plenty of it so never ran out. Staff, food, room and Prague was very good. Will def go back to the hotel when I visit Prague again.

Easy to find if you go by car, maybe harder then by tram, but ask people - they know it!
Lift available - good help then you pay attention to chech cuisine and bear! parking 150-200 m away, it closed on key, so if you need constant access, you have to leave deposit (10-20 euro) for it.
Breakfast is routine but eatable. Lunch in hotels' restaurant teasty - we've eat goulyash, pork's knee, soup in bread, some dessert - everything was fine and price was lower then in Prague 1 :)
Beer ok, but assortment was poor.
Room was slightly small for price. WiFi slow to nothing.
There's freege in room, you can cool your beer in it, but in Prague drink in bars is best practice! ATM is 50 m across of hotel, couple of bars around - Gambrinus not bad at all - check it! Other we didn't visit (one was too smoky, other was closed)

Room Tip: Room above hotel entry is huge, and was same price as ours.

Very nice hotel! Definitely the nicest I stayed in for the price range. Room was spacious, clean, and very nice. Bathroom was beautiful and everything worked well (including the heated towel rack <3). The staff was friendly and spoke very good English making everything go smoothly. The included breakfast spread was quite nice. In the evening, the hotel bar is a nice spot for a beer before turning in. There is wifi, but the connection was a bit spotty in the room (worked great for everything except skyping). Definitely recommend, but do keep in mind, it's a bit out of the center city. Take a bus or tram for sure (not hard or far)! For $24 per night, you can't beat it!

First of all, if you want to see beauty wherever you look, go to Prague.
And, if you want to get good value for money, go to U Divadla. Our room was clean, with a comfy bed, mini bar, kettle & tasty tea. :) Bathroom was spotless and spacious. Breakfast area is big enough, meaning that there is always a table for you. Breakfast is like in every 3* hotel- OK- eggs, several types of cheese and salami, salads, cornflakes, muesli, yogurt, milk, tea, coffee.....Breakfast area is a restaurant as well, so you can have lunch, dinner or just cup of coffee (works till midnight). Staff is polite and professional. Young man at the front desk spoke very good English, so we checked in/out in a minute, and he gave us information about everything we asked him about.
And, one more thing.... It is easy to get to the center. You can take a 5 min walk and then get a tram, or take a a bus for that one station (to avoid walk) and then get a tram 3 or 17. Also, you can take a walk on Vltava promenade :) :) :) and get to the Charles Bridge in 30-40 min (recommend).

stayed here whilst visiting Prague with my partner and friends. initially a bit disappointed as the taxi that I'd booked was not confirmed so it cost about £30 to get to hotel from airport. It would have been much cheaper had we realised we needed to follow a link to confirm booking before hand.
Hotel clean and friendly quick check in. The staff could not have been more helpful at all. Rooms nice with mini bar and restaurant/ bar that stayed open till midnight. the area is not the nicest but we didn't feel scared being a foursome may have helped. We used the tram, it leaves five minutes walk away, and was not asked for a ticket at any time, so didn't buy one.

It takes about fifteen minutes on the tram and is a nice riverside journey. Would stay here again for sure, if Prague was not so bloody expensive!

I write my review with some frustration regarding this hotel and the internet web sight called Expedia.com... ( I have used expedia.com before and this trip was nothing but problems). I will start with what was nice ..... The hotel seemed to be clean, the price was good and we had fresh towels in are room every day. The brearkfast in the morning was really good and the location of the hotel is located just over a bloack away from the bus and metro system. Take bus #196 or 197 to the metro train and use line 17 wich will take you all the way to Charles Bridge and old town area... Now for the frustration.... we were checking out of are hotel at 5:15 AM. The woman at the front desk spoke little english and it was her 4th night on working. They never had paperwork ready for us checking out. However, they did for the other two groups of people we were with but also had problems with check out. The lady at the front desk obviously was new and did not know what she was doing. She broke down crying when she could not handel the mess the hotel had made with are check out... The hotel indicated that are room was not paid for. We had paperwork to show it had been and also pulled up the internet in the lobby to show her the information. Again , she indicated we needed to pay. We gave her are itinerary number from booking and still no help. We even had expedia on the phone telling them we had paid and to bill them and still we had to pay before leaving. I finally put the room on my Visa card ( a room that had been paid for now twice) so we could get to are flight back home... I called expedia.com three times back in the states and they indicated they would contact the hotel and it would be taken care of ... WRONG! I get an e-mail stating that I now have to contact the hotel to deal with this issue... I have contacted my credit card company and have all the paper work to show paid in full at the time of booking from by Discover Card. At the end of this story I am disapointed with the hotel for having someone at the front desk not know how to do thier job, know little english, and leave a person alone at the front deck with no help to call a manager for assistence. To all that travel ..... good luck!
