Staropramen Brewery Tour with Dinner In Prague

Real waste of time and money for anyone other than those who have absolutely no knowledge of the brewing process. You never get to see the brewery, only cheesy mock-ups and an impersonal guide who was clearly as uninspired as the rest of the group.
Better off heading over to Novometsky Pivovarsky or any of the micro-brewery/pubs in the city. Plus their beer is a lot better than the insipid Staropramen offerings.

Bit poor really with 4 different area's giving an interactive history of the brewery. Money spent on entry would have been put to better use in one of Prague's many pubs.

I am sure it has been expensive to build such an advanced visitor's centre. But money and technology completely wasted. You'll never get into the actual brewery, and the centre could be located anywhere in Prague - or anywhere in the world. They actually repeatedly say "the brewery is ONLY SEVERAL dozens meters away". That sentence doesn't make sense. There is no live guide, recorded voices will tell you the history and instruct you to move on. They call it interactive - I haven't figured out, what the activities are.
They should have let a brewmaster or a beer lover design the visitor's centre - not the IT department. Complete disappointment.
You'll be served 1 beer at the end of the tour. It is small, and you can choose from 4 types. They don't even bother presenting their complete range of beers in their own visitor's centre? Fail. Like in "major fail"!
I'll give it 2 stars instead of 1. The technology is nice and impressive, albeit more suitable for something else...

The "tour" consists of just 3 "Interactive" rooms. You don't go near the brewery or interact with an official guide. You simply move through 3 rooms reading and watching video/listening to audio descriptions. Using flash photography causes the interactive 3D bits to break down. Not all of the tour is in English either.

Don't bother with it. Simply visit the website. Read up there, and go straight to the visitor centre bar for a fresh beer. Which, incidentally, costs more than what you would pay from a "normal" Czech bar!!!

DEFINITELY NOT worth £6 entry (which does include a SMALL beer!)

NOT recommended.

Beer drinkers will be happy with brewery tour. Specially because it ends with tasting. The tour includes only 5 rooms, but it is very well structured. You get virtual guidance in more languages and is very interactive.
