“A nice hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 12, 2013

Good location, big comfortable room, friendly staff and very tasty breakfast. The hotel is almost at the border of Prague's center so you can explore the city without using any kind of transportation. We would recommend this hotel to our friends if they were to visit Prague.

This is an excellent hotel for a city break. We stayed for 4 nights and found it a very comfortable and relaxing location. The only issue was having windows open allowed in a lot of noise from outside (trams and other traffic mainly) but the room has a good aircon unit so it could be kept cool without the windows open.

The hotel was about a 20 minute walk from Wenceslas Square, or there is a tram stop about 1 minute walk away which was served by a number of trams. We also used the metro which is about 5 minutes walk away and takes you around the city very quickly.

Hotel breakfast was in a buffet style with some hot provisions. We didn't have any of the hot food and mainly stuck to the nice pastries that were on offer. There was also tea, coffee and juice. Breakfast was served between 7 and 10, which is good as it allows flexibility for an early start or a more relaxed more morning, and was located in an adjoining building on the top floor with views over the local area.

The room we were given was on the 5th (top) floor; 1st and 5th floor were all non-smoking. The room was in 3 sections; an entrance area with a big floor to ceiling double sliding door wardrobe. The wardrobe contained a safe which was easy to operate. Off this entrance area, one door led to a nicely fitted bathroom with probably the best shower I have ever used. There were plenty of towels and toiletries provided. From the entrance area, there was also a door with access to the bedroom, which had a large double bed, 2 bedside tables, and large dresser and a small shelving unit. There was a flatscreen tv on the dresser and and fridge under the dresser too. There was also tv/coffee making facilities.

On arrival, the concierge was most helpful with providing a map and showing us where we were and where the local sites were and how we could get to them.

We would definitely recommend this hotel if you wanting a city break in Prague.

Room Tip: 1st or 5th floors are all non-smoking rooms.

Stayed in this Hotel for 2 Nights. Decently built.. Nice ambiance... Very good location. Close to the main Prague City Centre (by Tram or Metro). Breakfast is good.. could be better. The hot food choices are limited and not very tasty. Staff is very friendly.

We quite liked the area. Nice choices of restaurants around this hotel. The 2 very good pubs/restaurants in the same lane.

Airport Pickup Shuttle is a bonus although remember to tell them in advance.

Would definitely come here again.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the higher floor.

This is a nice hotel with very friendly and helpful staff.

In terms of location, it is located just south of the Old Town (so not quite in the centre; but very close - the centre is accessible by foot or via the nearby Metro). Despite this, we loved the location. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. In particular, there is a restaurant on the corner about 2 doors up from the hotel which is beautiful inside and very reasonable for both food and wine.

As mentioned, the hotel is near the Metro station and the tram. The transport system is excellent and linked so you can buy tickets from any nearby shop/supermarket which are valid for the bus, tram and Metro. The tickets are very cheap.

The room was clean and tidy with a nice (but small) bathroom with a good power shower. A selection of toiletries was provided, along with nice fluffy towels and a decent hairdryer. There was a television in the corner with a few English speaking news channels (not a huge choice but who watches TV all holiday!) and a kettle, selection of teas and coffees and a fridge.

I would say that the only points which let the hotel down are the breakfast and the temperature of the rooms. The breakfast was cold and overcooked and there was not much choice. There was usually one type of egg available (scrambled or fried) but these were always cold and overcooked and one of the days they had fried potatoes which were acceptable but cold and a selection of "warm" hot dog sausage type mixed meat (which we avoided). Other than this, you could choose toast (but the toaster didn't work) or cereal or the usual meat, cheese and doughnut-type Eastern European breakfast choices. There was a nice selection of juices and teas and coffees. The room was very warm, however you could open the windows but there was a lot of noise from the surrounding areas.

Tips for Prague in general would be: (i) If you are female, don't pack too many heels. Almost all the streets are cobbled and (whilst I generally never wear flats) I struggled to wear my heels and only wore them one or two evenings; and (ii) whilst smoking inside is (I understand) against the law, this is not enforced and it seems that everyone in Prague smokes, which hits you as soon as you walk into a bar/restaurant and is rather off-putting!

Overall, this is a good hotel in a nice area and I would stay there again. I would also recommend a trip to Prague, which is a beautiful city.

This is a small hotel in a nice residental area in Prague. You do have to walk about 2 blocks to the metro and 1/2 block to the tram. It is not a bad walk. This hotel has large rooms, that could use some more furniture , but the furnishings are adequate and the rooms are clean. The breakfast is a typical eastern european meal, eggs, potatoes, cold meats, cheese, yogurt etc. it is included with your room price. The meal is fine. My family enjoyed our stay here and I would certainly stay here again.

Stayed here for 3 nights. Had trouble finding the hotel - print out a map before you arrive in Prague, as we struggled to find one when we were there until we got to the hotel! Thought we'd read on here that the hotel was in the Old Town, but it's actually a bit south of the city centre. Close to one of the busiest metro stations (I P Pavlova) and trams run really regularly into the Old Town. Travel is really cheap - 110 korunas for a 24 hour pass (less than £4 for the whole day!). However, can walk to the Old Town via Museum and Wenceslas Square, which makes it nicer, feels quite safe and doesn't take too long, but wouldn't recommend it in heels - uneven paths & cobbled streets are common in Prague! On the road that the hotel is on there are a few cafes/restaurants/bars - one evening we just stayed around here and it was very nice - more Czech, less touristy.

Room was massive - lots of wasted space really, but no complaints from us. All clean everywhere. Tram noisy when windows open, but silent when shut. Really comfy bed!! Nice shower room.

Continental breakfast was fine - not worth paying extra for, so get a deal where it's included in the price or free as an offer.
