I stayed in this hotel for 3 days and overall I was quite disappointed. Let me start with the good, the location was in the dead center of Prague and the staff were very friendly, overall the reception area was nice and the limo to the hotel was a good deal. Unfortunately, i found that there were many more negatives than positives.

For starters the breakfast was one of the worse breakfast buffets I have experience in recent times, with only a few items on offer which were of middling quality at best. The room was OK, but lacked some of the 'creature comforts' such as a minibar, or any TV channels in English (bar one movie channel and one news channel) or a safe - which I think most will agree is essential for keeping passports and such safe when sightseeing. The room service didn't exist, to the extent that I had to drop the laundry off at the reception and collect it myself - not what I would expect in all honesty. I was also not too impressed by the fact that my room was only made up at around 2 o'clock, but that was a minor nuisance at worst.

So overall, quite disappointed with this hotel and I doubt I would stay there again.

Dear Mladen N,

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at Ibis Praha Old Town.
We are pleased that you enjoyed our location and friendly staff. You are correct that ibis hotels do not provide nor minibar neither safe boxes as removing these frills allows us to keep our room rates substantially lower. On the other side safe boxes are available at the front desk at no extra charge. We are sorry that you feel you cannot return.

Yours sincerely
Jiří Hnolík, Deputy Manager

Stayed here for a couple of nights, room was clean, staff was very helpful with us (airline lost our luggage and the front desk called the airline for us translated), and breakfast was good as well. Just a short walk to all the major attractions, Old Towne, Charles Bridge, surrounded by shopping and good places to eat.

I ve been during July '13, and it was awesome, cozy place and people were so lovely with us. Spend 5 nights and everything was great. Great Room, and amazing breakfast, at night just you can find package food into the frigidaire or french fries, but it wasn't a problem. Highly recommend it.

Room Tip: Just choose it, and enjoy your stay.

Wanting to stay in Old Town but not near the clock filled with tourist, I chose this, and glad I did. The price was right, 10 minute walk to Charles Bridge, the Clock, but far enough away from the droves of restaurants, party scene. The Hotel was modern, cool little neighborhood. I would stay here again.

This is my first time I stay at Ibis Hotel Old Town for 3 nights.

Good/Positive

Location: It is very strategic location. 5 to 8-minute walk to the Old town square. 20 to 25-minute walk to Charles Bridge. 30-Minute walk to Prague Castle.

Convenience: A huge shopping mall is next to the hotel. Tram stop is less than a minute walk from the hotel main entrance.

Breakfast: Standard and adequate.

Comfort & Cleanliness: Room and bathroom are clean and tidy. Limited toilet amenities in the bathroom. Soft pillows and medium size bed. Meaning if you are 2 ft wide and 6.5 ft tall then this might be a problem for you.

Space: Good enough for two adults with two standard luggage.

Staffs: Friendly and very helpful.

From Airport: less than 30 minutes by taxi. You can email or ring up Ibis to arrange a driver pick up for CZR 599.

Bad/Negative

Wear & Tear: You might find wear and tear of the interior in the bedroom.

Comfort: Air in the room is very dry due to poor air ventilation.

View: Forget about that! You have a small window that is facing an opposite unit.

Room Tip: High Floor
