The museum is free of charge and offers some great stories about the two world wars. A recommend for those wanting to skip the hectic touristareas for a while and see another part of Prague. Don't forget to take the hike up the hill to the amazing monument and viewpoint afterwards!

For anyone interested in the history of WW1 and WW2 this is the museum to visit. Displays of uniforms, weapons and other memorabilia is displayed with information placards in English. When we visited we had the place virtually to ourselves which was a shame because there was so much to see. The museum is currently undergoing some renovation work which will no doubt increase the number of exhibits they have displayed. Entrance is free which was a welcome surprise.

A wonderful collection of 1st and 2nd World War exhibits which also details the Czechoslovakian struggle for independence. The exhibits, the facilities and the information is all 1st Class and has been put together and displayed in a very meaningful reconstruction of events. The Museum is at the foot of Vitkov Hill where the Liberation Monument is situated, which is also well worth the climb. At present part of the Building is being prepared to double the exhibition area; as it took us well over 3 hours to get round, and we didn't have time to see everything, I expect when it is fully renovated, it could well take a full day, but well worth it!!!!
