My wife lived in Kampa Garden with 1 on 11 may. A great place. Clean air and quiet although the hotel is located in the centre of Prague. Near the Charles bridge. To many museums, churches and other sights can be reached on foot. Nice room and excellent service at a reasonable cost.

The most wonderful thing about this hotel is the front office staff. At other hotels, the staff can be friendly and helpful, but somehow, Daniella, Natalia, Standa, and Jitka were different. They all spoke English and treated guests like family. Nothing was more important to them than making guests feel welcome and comfortable. For us, they booked tickets, helped us find the best routes on Prague's wonderful transportation system, and even bought bananas for the breakfast buffet when I said I missed having any. I don't know how the hotel has been able to find and retain such people, but they made our visit to the hotel and to the City of Prague itself a wonderfully positive experience.
The hotel itself has an excellent location on a secluded square just at the Castle's side of the famous Charles Bridge. From there, you can walk almost anywhere in the City, or you can take the cheap and easy-to-use public transportation system. Our room was spacious but plainly decorated and could have used some floor and table lamps instead of relying solely on bright ceiling lights. The bathroom was adequate but had only one small shelf over the sink and a hand-held shower head that you had to scrunch down to use. Breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was one of the best I've had at such a hotel: cereals, fruit, scrambled eggs, toast, pastries, and coffee that was definitely a notch above what most places serve. The hotel itself could use some upgrading to improve its star rating, but you'd have to go a long way to find a more friendly and affordable place to stay when visiting Prague.

The hotel was in an ideal position, in a quiet neighbourhood close to Charles Bridge and a short walk away from Prague Castle. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful; they helped us plan tram journeys, sold tram tickets, and booked us a taxi to and from the airport. The rooms could perhaps have been a little darker at night but were otherwise comfortable, clean and relaxing. The buffet breakfast was excellent, serving a variety of hot and cold food.

this was the 4th time visiting prague, all the other times we stayed a bit out of the main attractions so decided to get something a bit more central, you cant get more central to all the main tourist sites than this hotel, you were only a minute walk from the charles bridge, and about 10 minutes to the old town square and about 20 minutes to the castle, the hotel staff were fantastic nothing was too much trouble, we had 3 rooms and each room was slightly different but all were exellent, they each had 2 single beds, there was a tv on the wall(no english channels) a mini bar, there were complementary toiletries, you can book trips and airport transfers through reception, the breakfast was your standard breakfast cheese and cold meats, scambled eggs and sausages,if returning to prague i wouldnt hesitate to book again

Room Tip: rooms at the back look onto a small river, and at the front depends what rooms and floors you may se...

We have just returned from a short break to Prague where we stayed at the Kampa Garden Hotel. Our welcome on arrival was very warm and friendly. Our twin room was comfortable and very clean, the buffet breakfast with hot and cold dishes set us up each day and all the hotel staff were very friendly. The hotel is set in the Lesser Town but within 3 minutes of Charles Bridge. Cross over the bridge and many of the attractions of Prague are within an easy walk. In the Lesser Town, there are many restaurants which are not as commercial as in the Old Town or New Town. The area is very quiet and we felt perfectly safe even at night. Prague Castle is in the Lesser Town and is around 10 minutes walk away. Our only slight problem was that the room was quite warm, but that was normally cured by simply opening the window! We were very pleased to have picked the Kampa Garden Hotel for our break and would like to thank all the staff, especially the ladies on reception. We would thoroughly recommend the hotel for anyone wanting a break in Prague in a quiet area but not far from the 'action' and at a very reasonable price.
