The hotel is at the center of old town. It is good to get a room in front of Astronomical clock. Rooms are clean, decent staff, good breakfast. I would recommend to consider this hotel for Prague trip.

This hotel was lovely. Right in the action of Old Town facing the Old Clock Tower. Not modern but old and charming. The rooms were very comfortable and ensuite. Staff very friendly and accommodating. My son had the Presidential Suite and as the name suggests very grand with 3 bathrooms and its own steam room. Definitely would stay here again on our next visit

Room Tip: Spending a little more like we did got us a lovely room with a view. Although a bit busy in the stre...

A very welcoming check in to the hotel, our room was on second floor facing the Astronomical Clock which afforded us great photo opportunities of the clock and across the square. The room has plenty of wardrobe space the king sized bed was very comfortable, the room has double glazing so outside noise isn't a problem. The room and bathroom were immaculate the only suggestion I would make is for the hotel to have softer towels as the ones in the room whilst white were in need of replacement, face washers were not available again the addition of these would be handy. Breakfast had hot and cold selections not a large variety , the selection of bakery items was very good and they had some very nice bread rolls. We went to the Mozart Dinner concert at the hotel which was excellent bin terms of the food and the entertainment and I can say it was very good value . Would recommend this hotel if you wish to be in a central location in Prague.

The hotel is on the Old Town Square which it at the centre of Pragues activities. We booked the Presidential Suite which was exactly as shown on the website. It has a private steam room which was something we had never had before. The room view looks directly at the clock and the hundreds of people that stand in front of it every hour to see it 'perform'. Due to that, the room can be noisy. We considered it to be a good 'atmosphere' but light sleepers might want to choose an alternate room. We felt the 4-star rating to be appropriate. The breakfasts were simple but adequate. The staff on reception were helpful. There is a cafe at the front of the hotel which displays lots of yummie cakes.

Room Tip: Presidential Suite is lovely with private steam room, but can be noisy since it looks out onto the t...

We started our 16 days trip to Europe (my first time) in Ireland, followed by Amsterdam Netherlands, Koln/Esslingen/Tubingen/Munich Germany, Vienna Austria and now Praha Czech Republic.

We have seen the most beautiful architecture and met the nicest people, who all were very accommodating to being only English speaking tourist!

By far, over the course of our journey Grand Hotel Praha is the most beautiful, excellent/superior service than any other county/hotel we have stayed at yet!

We booked the Attic room - OMG the view of old town takes your breath away, everything the ad promised and so much more. Checking in the reception and gentleman who brought our bags all the way up without lift - both amazing and so helpful.

I can't say enough good things, location, location, location and beauty/service/amenities are all beyond my wildest dreams.

I wish we would have skipped our 4 days in Ireland, and stayed 6 days here!!

We will definitely be back to this hotel/city again!

Room Tip: Attic - no other view could compare, breathtaking!

My wife and I had a generally good stay at this hotel. The location is amazing, and the Grand Deluxe Room is well worth the price. We loved the antique furniture, and the fact that the building is several centuries old. We were also very happy with the breakfast that was provided each morning.

The reason this hotel received 3 stars (instead of 5) from me is that during our last day there, we had the staff hold our luggage for the day (as we were taking an overnight train). However, when we came back that evening to get the luggage, and explained the situation to the receptionist (who we had not seen during the prior 4 days of our stay), she began to yell at my wife and I.

We had to go work through the concierge, who was able to assist us. However, if we are staying multiple nights, in one of the "suite" rooms, I find being yelled at by the receptionist unacceptable.

If you are looking for a stylish hotel in an excellent location with great customer service, delicious food, comfortable beds and good value for money then look no further than The Grand Hotel Praha. First time visitors to Prague we travelled in July as a family group of 7 spanning 3 generations so needed double rooms, twin rooms, rooms with views, central location, a lift, and air conditioning. The Grand Hotel Praha was able to accommodate all of these requirements and much more. Our three 'grand deluxe' double rooms all looked out over the square right in front of the astronomical clock. Two of these rooms were in the main building (with lift as requested) and one was in the old building just a couple of doors down the street. This room too had an amazing view of the clock and better still the room was absolutely enormous so the flight of stairs to get there was a very small price to pay for the luxurious accommodation. Obviously if you need a lift for health reasons ask for the main building but for those able to stagger up a few flights of stairs, the old building is worth the effort (and there is a porter who will happily take your luggage for you). Our rooms all had air conditioning, a mini bar, very large and well appointed bathrooms with both bath and separate shower, lots of wardrobes (our room in the old building had 3!), two safes in each room, a hair dryer, TV, and comfy beds. The twin room we had did not have a view of the clock but nevertheless it was a pretty good size with large bathroom. As we were travelling in a large party with a variety of different needs I contacted and booked with the hotel direct. Jana was very helpful and efficient and the rate she offered was comparable to those offered on the various holiday/hotel booking websites I had trawled through. The buffet breakfast served in 'Cafe Mozart' was very good with a selection of cereals, fruit salad, pastries, breads, toast, cold meats and cheese as well as hot selections (bacon, eggs and sausage). We also attended one of the Cafe Mozart's concert dinners which was a delicious 4 course meal (with sparkling wine aperitif) accompanied by classical string quartet who played to a very high standard. The staff were without exception friendly, helpful and cheerful. The rooms were spotless, well furnished in traditional style (including gilt chandelier in one of our rooms) and very comfortable. All in all, most definitely one of the best European hotels I have stayed in and I would not hesitate in recommending it to anyone looking for a good hotel in the centre of Prague.

Room Tip: If you have any special requirements contact the hotel direct, they are very helpful. The 'Gran...
