The hotel is nicely located in the old town centre, very close to the Charles Bridge and many other main attractions. The hotel is in an old but very nice building and the rooms are comfortable and spacial, decorated to fit the appearance of the building. The services are exceptionally good. If you need to leave the hotel early in the morning before the hotel serves breakfast, let the reception know and they will prepare nice breakfast for you. We received a lot of assistance from the reception girl Lucie in booking bus tickets and during our tour in the city. Hotel Aurus is definitely a good choice for tourists

I stayed for 2days, and it was great. Very big spacious room. Very clean. Best location in prague between old town square and Charles bridge, very safe. Good breakfast, free wifi, effective AC. Very kind and helpful staff, especially the beautiful reception. Fast elevator. Can't wait to get the chance to visit prague second time to stay at this hotel again.

While I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague as a tourist, it was great for our family of four. We had 'family suite A', which is on the top floor overlooking the square. The suite had a large comfortable bed room with a lot of light and a great view - high enough not to be too noisy with the August throngs of tourist - a living room with 2 pool out beds (one could have been large enough for 2), and very nice, new bathroom. It had a lot of charm and unique touches, but was roomy with modern amenities. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and the last day they sent us off with a snack because we left for the airport before breakfast started. The location is almost too good; the area was packed with tourists; but that made it easy to grab a quick visit of the bridge or the town square early in the morning before anyone showed up. No question I will return here next visit.

We stayed at Hotel Aurus for 5 nights and had a great time there. The service was excellent, and the staff always ready to help with any tours and or city information. The rooms are really nice and big, and the breakfast is superb. It's a great location and great value for money. We'd definitely go back and stay at Hotel Aurus.

Room Tip: Corner suite has a lovely view of the square below. The spiral staircases are a little tight, so if...

A small hotel with big rooms, clean and freshly updated. Friendly and helpful staff, small elevator, good free wifi, Really, no complaints whatever about the hotel or staff, all were excellent and multilingual. No air conditioning in the room, but it didn’t seem to need it.

It’s right in the centre. In a pedestrian precinct (taxis allowed) halfway between Charles Bridge and the Old Town Square, about 200 yards from each. Tourist Central (and pickpocket central – beware) and thus a river of tourists flows past the hotel. Constantly. Not a problem during the day but the volume starts to increase at 6pm, reaches a crescendo at 11pm, and doesn’t die down until 4am. Solutions: get a room facing the street other than Karlova (but less interesting view), a room higher up, close the windows, use ear plugs or take sleeping pills. Not a problem for me, but might be for others. I’d certainly come back here.

Although a little dated in decor, this is first rate in essentials. Excellent and free WiFi, location in midst of old town, free hot breakfast and other selections, helpful English-speaking staff. We had large room D on top floor (with elevator) and queen bed and pull-out bed. They would have put another single bed on request. 10% discount on rate if use Czech crowns, so very affordable.

Room Tip: You can view each room on hotel website with virtual tour. Quietest rooms on top.
