I've just returned from Prague with my 11-year-old daughter (no specific category given above for this, by the way.) We stayed at the Hotel Hastal which is only a short walk from the Old Town Square. In other words, it's very near the centre of Prague, convenient for almost everything. You might expect quite a lot of noise or even rowdiness but not a bit of it, this was a quiet rather scenic square and the hotel too was quiet in spite of the number of guests.
Our ensuite twin room was quite spacious, the beds were comfortable, the hotel was clean throughout and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. From our window we had a nice view of the Rudolfinum's beautiful roof ! The breakfasts were pretty average but the restaurant much better than that and also reasonably priced.
A nice touch was the green budgerigar whose cage is downstairs in the foyer !
We would stay here again.More
