A very lovely property in an excellent location. Only 5 minutes to the center of old town, a short walk to either train station, and minutes to the trams and/or subways. Breakfast is good, great wifi all over the property.

Staff was great, handling every question I had quickly and easily. Since it is an old building, you will get a bit of noise from your neighbors, but not much. We had an upgraded room and it was huge. Beautiful views out our windows of the church next door.

Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Hastal in the most beautiful city I have visited. Good breakfast is included in this nicely updated historic property in the heart of Old Town Prague. Very attentive and helpful staff as well.

Loved this location about 7 min walk to the Old Town square. Rooms were nice and also clean. The breakfast was included and was one of the better breakfasts we had on our 30 day 7 country tour in Europe. We arrived early at around 6:45 am to store our luggage and eat their breakfast. The night staff was so kind to actually look for a room that was available and let us Checkin for the day before 7am! That was totally unexpected and so appreciated. I don't usually write reviews, but that was worth making the effort. Prague was one of the more beautiful cities I have seen. We loved it.

I was in a party of 15 (9 rooms). I understand this is a lot to handle in one go but a bit more difficult when the receptionist English wasn't the best. Some of the group wanted to pay buy credit card but this wasn't possible. I think this was because the credit card machine was not working, I'm not sure as language communication was not good. When I got to my room, it could quite easily been the size of a storage room. A single room should have some space. Room 25 does NOT have space however other single rooms in our group were spacious. I had a single bed that was uncomfortable and it faced the window. As the TV was on the dresser on the other wall, the only way to watch it was to sit in the opposite direction. Not very comfortable.
My room also seemed to have very thin walls as everything was heard from other rooms and stairs.
Breakfast was satisfactory but it's a bit annoying finishing off your toast at 10am and someone turns off the lights on the tables.
Another quite annoying thing is when you get a phone all check out day at 12 saying you must leave. Not very customer friendly. Sunday afternoon does not have a rush on check in.
The benefit of the location being 5 mins away from the square is very good but I wouldn't be recommending this hotel.

Room Tip: Room 25 is NOT good. Lift only goes to 5th floor. 6th floor is only accessible by stairs.

The hotel is centrally located. We arrived in Prague by bus and the hotel was a tram ride away, took us around 25mins.
Hotel is very close to all the main attractions in Prague and we had a great time discovering the city on foot.
We got an upgrade to our room. Room was good, spacious bathroom and there was a safe in the room as well. We got free wi-fi in our room. Breakfast was included in the price and was good. Hotel had complimentary tea and coffee service as well. Best part is that the hotel has a lift (comes in handy when you have 2 big suitcases).
Staff was very helpful and welcoming, arranged a taxi for us to the bus stop as well (at a fixed rate). We stored our luggage at the hotel after check-out and got discount on paying by cash :-).
Overall very good value for money and happy with our stay at Hotel Hastal.
