“Turned back..bad experience”
Reviewed May 19, 2010

Booked the hotel via HRS online booking service and the booking was confirmed. Went to check in only to be told that no reservation was made in our name!! we were totally flummoxed, receptionist was not very helpful, directed us to another expensive hotel. This could be a exceptional case but just to let everyone know that it can happen. Prague was a nice place and enjoyed the rest of our stay.

it fulfils completely all expectations. It lies just a short walk fm the very city center, along the Moldava river, in a secondary streets that guarantees peaceful stay.
It is small, clean n staff is very friendly - it seems to be a family conduction.
After buffet breakfast you are ready to face a complete tourists day.

The hotel is situated just 5 min walking from Andel metro station and tram stop, but use the tram 3 min away instead to go to the old town. Much easier and you will see more. Tram to Wenceslas Square/Václavské náměstí take 10-15 minutes. But Andel has many shops and restaurants(TGI Fridays, sushi, italian, mexican, you namee it...)

Hotel placed in a quiet street, with not much mark of hotel outside. You always need to ring on the bell to get in, so I will say it is a safe place to be.

Check in was easy and fast. Staff talked english. A clean and tiny lobby, with an always empty bar/cafè. I never saw other guests during our stay, except for the breakfast. So you understand this is a small hotel. Ordinary keys to the rooms.

The room was spacious, with a very spacious bathroom. Everything was new, and the shower had always hot water if I needed it. Soap-dispensers in the shower and at the sink with fresh and good soap! Very useful! Always clean. Maid every day, even if we went out at 14 o'clock! Good double sized bed(even if it was a single room), with stretch-sheet like home:-) Althought a cozy room, not feeling like a standard hotel.

No AC unfortunately, and in the summertime, when we were there, it was very hot in the room. But with the fan and not much noise from outside, we could have the windows opened, and did not got heat stroke. The most of the light bulbs did not work at my room number 24(but in the summertime I did not need them either:-P)

No minibar or refrigator, unfortunately, but clean cups every day.

New spacious elevator. I think this hotel inside is OK for an handicapped in a small wheelchair, but outside(not only here, but in whole Prague) it is many landings and cobblestoned streets.

Easy and standard continental breakfast, with the common things, not very complicated.

Free wired internet at all rooms worked very well! I never used the TV, haha, but it is a TV on the wall... And a desk with chair, a closet and bench for the luggage with a safe under(but you have to pay for the lock and key).

I am very satisfied to find this hotel after watching many of the other hotels standard and reviews here on Tripadvisor. Well worth the 40€ for a single room with breakfast(45€ for a double room)!

Stayed att hotel Otto with big group of 24 workmates. Got a good deal with Swedish agency "Tjeckienexperten" and we were all plesantly surprised with the quality of the hotel. One block to the river, 5 minutes to Andel transport and shopping centre.
Staff wery helpful and selling lots of tramtickets to us!
Breakfast fully ok and with good coffe, not always to be found in Prague hotels!

Only fault was that not all rooms was set to two single beds as ordered, but was quickly taken care of.

I stayed at the Otto with an Elderhostel group, who booked the hotel for the program. It's a little south of the center, but walking and transportation are nearby. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. I had asked for a double room, as my daughter would be joining me later, but at first they put me in a small room, and I had to wait til a larger room came available on the second day. But everything ran smoothly, and it certainly is a decent place to stay.

I stayed for one night at Otto Hotel last August. The Hotel was suggested by Petr Hotel as they have the same owner.

Initially I was noy very confident about the Hotel, as there was only one review in TA for Otto, and is in German. But when I arrived to Otto Hotel, I was greatly surprised : Good Location, just 5 minutes walk to Andel Shopping Center , Metro and Tram. From Andel is 4 Tram stops to Charles Bridge, and by Metro you can get to Wenceslaw Square in 5 minutes.

Reception Staff extremely friendly . Very supportive , always with a nice smile. Room was huge, new furniture, and spotless clean. Wireless internet in the room.

Breakfast was a bit basic but good.

Overall, I recommed Otto Hotel !!
