Visited Mlejnice several times during my stay in Prague. Great food and lovely atmosphere in a rustic style restaurant hidden in Kozna Alley. Also visited Mlejnice at Zatecka. Equally good place. I prefer the one at Kozna. Staff are friendly in both restaurants.. The service is very good and the food scrumptious.

This restaurant was recommended to us by friends, so we were eager to try it.
We were lucky to get in as we hadn't booked and it was very busy.
We both had steak to eat which I really enjoyed although my partner found his medium steak to be a little too rare.
The Czech red wine I had was really lovely and I could of easily drank a whole bottle!
The atmosphere is nice, although towards the end of our meal a couple sat close by and were constantly videoing and taking pictures which was quite irritating. They then made the sound of animals as they ate so we made a swift exit!
The staff were friendly and helpful, definitely a place to try although I've since heard that the hock is a must try!!!

This is a charming rustic "local" restaurant in the heart of Prague. Service was quick and friendly. It's a good sign when it's not just foreign tourists but there are locals eating and drinking here too. The cabbage "pancakes" were to die for (although they were more like indian bhajis than pancakes - but without gram flour - see photo). Salads were large with great sauce. The options are good for veggies (in comparison to other traditional eateries - so long as you like potatoes). Reasonable rather than cheap prices. Thoroughly recommended.

Visited for the first time in July, excellent value for local Czech cuisine, attentive staff and relaxing environment.
Need to reserve in advance as the location of the restaurant makes it popular for both local as well as foreign tourist.

Found this restaurant quite by accident after touring around the Jewish Quarter.
No need to book as was around 5pm but it did start to fill up shortly after, the food was great tasting and very good value.
The pork knee was some of the most succulent I have ever tasted.
