Just spent 1 night at the Beranek and found it as great value for money, very clean, good breakfast. Great location, close to the National Museum. Just 45 minutes walking distance of all of the major attractions, including Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Old Town.

Room Tip: Rooms on the east side are quieter

Just spent 4 nights at the Beranek and found it outstanding value for money, exceptionally clean, good breakfast (Continental style) and friendly, helpful staff. We were on the third floor looking out on to Tylovo Square, which at this time of year looked delightful with its Xmas lights, Xmas tree and the market stalls. Our rooms were spacious, each with two three-quarter beds, heated towel rail, air conditioning, a free safe (key on the same ring as the room key) and television. . The only criticism that could be levelled at the hotel is that there are no drink-making facilities in the rooms. Great location too a few yards from the top end of Wencleslas Square and the National Museum. The 22 tram route was just yards away and this runs from the eastern fringe to the western fringe of the city and can drop you within short walking distance of all of the major attractions, including Prague Castle, Charles Bridge and Old Town. We'd stay there again any time. Thank you Hotel Beranek for your wonderful hospitality.

Room Tip: Ask for third floof facing the square. 309 and 310 are directly opposit the lift door.

This was one of our favorite hotels while in Europe. We were three in total and were able to get a roomy triple-occupancy room. Although the room faced the city and had a bit of noise, we were so tired and comfortable that we slept throughout. The bathroom was pretty modern and refurbished and clean- the room was spacious and clean. This was one of the least expensive hotels we stayed at and one of our favorites. It was two short train stops away from the main train station and you can walk (about 25-35 minutes) to the city center- which we did on our first day and enjoyed a great deal since there's so much to see in Prague... or walk a couple of blocks to the train station and take a train to the city center (about 5-8 minute ride and very inexpensive). The staff at the front desk was courteous and helpful and gladly gave us tips on tours and sightseeing on our own. This was truly a great stay in Prague at an affordable price. We would stay here again gladly :)

Room was a cramped but very clean. Air conditioning was great as it was very hot in Prague at the time we were visiting. Location is good, near tram/metro stops. Breakfast wasn't great but did the job. Felt very safe- there was always someone at reception. All in all it was basic but good value for money.

Our party of 6 enjoyed a brief stay at the Beranek last weekend and would recommend for a relatively comfortable city break in Prague. We stayed on the 4th floor which only has windows on the high ceilings (meaning no view, sadly). Thankfully, it is air-conditioned to keep the place cool. It also has a small room safe and complimentary shower gel. Very impractical pillows, however.

Location is good; positioned on a quiet square and seconds to tram stops heading into the centre which is about 15 minutes' walk away.

The staff, although efficient, were not terribly friendly throughout our stay and a warmer welcome to the City would have gone a long way.

This hotel is in a good location as we walked to major attractions. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean, very basic and with very thin walls. Breakfast was extremely poor, there was nothing good to eat besides some pastry. The loud noise coming from breakfast area was pretty disturbing for light sleepers who were staying on the fifth floor.

This hotel is in a good location and staff helpful but not friendly. Staff looked miserable and no one said good morning or smiled but if you asked for assistance they were helpful.
Rooms were clean but very basic even more basic than a UK travelodge. Broken fridge in room and one English speaking channel on old cathode ray tv. Very dated hotel!
Breakfast really was a joke with slices of cold cheese and same ham each day. Tinned fruit and cheap foods. Not really anything nice. If you like toast and jam every day or boiled eggs you will love it.

Staff helpful when you ask them to book an activity but other than that they all look unhappy. Simple things could be done to improve it but there appears no desire for customer service.

Would not stay here again.
