“Great Czech modern art collection away from hordes”
Reviewed September 22, 2012 via mobile

This private collection of modern art from Czech artists houses some great pieces. The collection is varied and diverse and showcases some of the art made during the communist era. The museum is not crowded and very peaceful. It has great views across the river to old town and the Charles bridge. The temporary exhibits were excellent as well. It is well worth the price of admission. There is also an excellent sculpture garden in the courtyard that you can visit for free of you are short on time and/or money.

“Great mix of art”
Reviewed July 26, 2012 via mobile

Loved our trip around this fabulous gallery!its set on 5 levels and also outside. There was a great mix of modern and classic art and if we were more focussed on an artist/genre Im sure we would of spent hours. But nonetheless being non artists we really enjoyed the experience (pricey compared to rest of city we felt) and would highly recommend to add to the whole Prague trip!

“Artsy oasis steps away from tourist bustle”
Reviewed July 6, 2012

This little museum, just a few short blocks from Charles Bridge, is a peaceful oasis in the middle of the city, brimming with tourists. If you are on Charles Bridge and see a white building by the water with "GOYA" painted on its side, that's the one. Actually, the museum's permanent collection of contemporary eastern European artists is much more interesting than the special exhibit of undoubtedly priceless drawings by Goya, at least to me. As the previous reviewers have noted, this place is very sparsely attended, and that lets you enjoy this wonderful space at your own pace and without being pushed around. The building itself, an old mill house by the river, is very interestingly renovated. Some of the sculptures were either designed for the location or ingeniously placed to incorporate the view of the Vltava (Mordou). Though everybody wants to take a picture of the river with the Prague Castle in the background, but the view of the river from the large windows and the roof-top of this building is very different and refreshing.
