We chose this restaurant based on comments in TripAdvisor and were not disappointed. Blue Wagon is located near the Namesti Miru subway station, a bit outside the most touristic area of Prague. While most of the clients were foreigners when we dined there (it was Easter evening), it was clear that it was not one of the tourist traps so common in downtown Prague. The decor is modern and tidy, yet relaxed, and the service was friendly and attentive.
The menu offered an interesting selection of appetizers and main courses and the wine selection was outstanding. I opted for the soup of the day (pumpkin -- simple but perfectly seasoned and tasty) and pheasant breast (a suprisingly generous and juicy portion accompanied by vegetables), while my wife had grilled foie gras (beautifully prepared) and deer medallions (with a surprising coffee. Plating was quite sophisticated, without being pretentious. We both had Czech wines by the glass recommended by our waiter - a nice discovery that paired well with our respective orders.
We spent roughly 80 euros for two, including three courses and a few glasses of wines each -- a great value considering the quality of the food and service.
