The concierge at our hotel recommended this restaurant. It was the first restaurant we ate at in Prague, so we didn't know what to expect. We were immediately made comfortable when we were presented with menus in English. You can find a wide variety of foods here, from standard heavy Eastern European foods to light salads. The servings are very large. If you are a non-smoker, be sure to tell them. When we returned for a dinner later in the week, they took us to their downstairs area for non-smoking. The place is clean and neat. We were impressed with how clean the WC's are in Czech Republic in general. If you're eating at a restaurant, use of the toilet is free; expect to pay elsewhere. It's worth it for a clean bathroom. Back to the restaurant,....good food, well prepared, good service. We returned twice more for meals. Walking distance from Marriott and Hilton Old Town.

I went there twice. Loved it: the food, the beer, the service, the atmosphere and all. Excellent value

Went here for lunch the first day in Prague. Seemed to be a popular place for lunch for both business people and some tourists. A couple of dishes of the day to choose from and some nice beer of course!

This restaurant is not on this address. It's on hybernska Street. We got a table but only for one hour, because of the busy night they expected . The service is quick. We ordered a kind of mixed hybernska platter and pork in dark beer. Within 10 mins it was served. Overall we thought both dishes were pretty greasy. The pork fat was everywhere on the dishes. It is probably Czech style. But we didn't like it. We ordered some garlic bread but it was cold and dry. Prices were right 600 ckr for both including drinks.

This is another restaurant we visited more than once, for both dinner and lunch. The menu has a large variety of big meals (I had pork ribs one dinner -- huge! My wife had the "Big Jud" Burger, which I helped her eat) and lighter meals or sides as well. Their salads are quite good, cheese plates and bread, too. This was another recommendation by the Boscolo Hotel (but I knew about it from TripAdvisor!) The beer and wine is great also, of course. It is very popular with locals (we saw the same office-worker there twice at lunch -- eating the same plate of food). It can get packed (as in no room) at dinner, so don't wait too late.
