“Interesting and extensive presentation of the history of gastronomy”
Reviewed August 7, 2014

The staff was very nice and loved to tell us more about the different ages of the history of gastronomy.

There are a lot of reading through the museum and a little too much in my opinion, although it was interesting. The museum also includes a bit of Czech food culture.

If you are interested in food and gastronomy it is a nice trip through the history of gastronomy.

“Small but very unique”
Reviewed August 3, 2014 via mobile

We went without expecting much. It received a lot of good reviews and being a foodie, my friend and I decided to venture there and check out this unique museum. By itself, it's very much a small private museum of various exhibits with mock ups and replicas and some actual objects from few hundred years ago. However, we didn't get as much out of the museum until the curator of the museum came up and spoke to us about some of the exhibits. It was then we realized how unique and interesting the exhibition was. This is a great museum and worth a visit on a rainy day. A tour is really a must if you want the most out of this visit. Also, if you get the chance, try "the mead" wine. If you're into sweet wines, then this is absolutely delicious.

“Worth a visit”

This small and cozy museum will guide you through the history of food preparation methods. Spoken explanations for each section and the souvenir museum store are some of the highlights.

“Great museum”
Reviewed June 20, 2014

It is a very nice museum. The descriptions are easy to read and staffs are super friendly! They talked us through some of the sections and introduced us to other great places in Prague. I would say they are the friendliest people I met during the stay in Prague :)

I really enjoyed this museum. It offers a very interesting overview of food preparation over time (from the paleolithic era up to modern times). The hosts are the nicest museum owners I've ever met, they make you feel very welcome and have a few interesting stories to tell.
