I enjoyed a stay at the Hotel Roma for a Hen do in 2012. Rooms were clean and bright and very spacious. The hotel is situated in a great place and close to local shops. About a 5-10 minute walk to the centre, close to rivers, and bars.

Hotel was good value for money and I would recommend a stay here.

What an excellent hotel. Ideally situated in the Little Quarter it is very convenient for both sides of the River. Most locations are within easy or moderate walking distance for most people. Tram stops are close by (very) but was redirected whilst we were there. The hotel itself was very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was good with a good selection of choices. Our room at the back with a double bed was spacious and we had plenty of space in the room. Suggest if you are booking one asks for this type of room, if that is your preference. We had e mailed the hotel with our request and they certainly obliged.
A very good four days

Room Tip: Rear rooms quieter. We also took shuttle fron airport and return. Very convenient. Shuttle free from...

We stayed at the hotel Roma for 3 days and had a great time. It is in a quet location about 15 to 20 minutes from the Charles bridge. There are several good restaurants and coffee bars in the neighborhood. The breakfast is decent enough and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Upon check out we were able to walk three short blocks away to get on the tram for a 10 minute tram ride to the Eurorail, main station. Traveler tip: tram tickets were two euro and there was a grocery story right at the corner ofbthe tram stop, we were able to buy our tram tickets from there. The store looked like a regular corner store, when u walk in get on line and ask the person at the cash register, she had-some tickets under her register. This saved us from walking two blocks in the opposite direction of the tram to buy tickets from the machine.

Hotel Roma

The hotel is based in the lesser quarter and was ideal for a base, trams outside up to the castle and into the centre are just outside the door, plus restaurants and cafes, either side.
There has being comments before on the quality of the rooms i.e. on the top floor, but you get what you pay for, so either book with a quality web site or direct with the hotel, we were on the 2nd floor, the room was large airy, full size bathroom, all clean and well presented, plenty of plugs, mini bar, hair dryer etc.
Electric operated by a key card used for the door as well, but fine with an old credit card when popping out for a short time, Staff were very friendly all spoke to you, and were willing to help in any small way.
Breakfast was the normal fare for this type of hotel but plenty of choice to put you over, The breakfast area was never full and tables cleaned and reset straight away, which was a good sign. No evening food but there is plenty of choice outside.
Overall recommend this hotel for a short break, good as a base with links to all parts of Prague, and a short walk across the bridge to the centre. 10 minutes to Charles Bridge.
Restaurants and bars were up to a half in price then the main centre but do your homework,
Hotel management get full points for this little gem!!!
Email if any questions on the hotel!

Room Tip: email ahead for first or second floor

I would choose Hotel Roma again and again and again! Though i arrived at 11pm, the lovely staff directed me to a Restaurant 2 mins away with fine cuisine, Olympia Hotel. Next day, the other receptionist asked me to try The Bastille just next door and they served one of the best Garlic and Herb soups i had tasted so in between sightseeing i kept going back for me. Charles Bridge, the Prague palace, the Astronomical Clock all a 10 min walk from the Hotel, though after walking and getting lost several times, i learnt to hop on tram 22 which would always pass the front of the Hotel in the right direction. A note of caution here: Right and left must mean different things to the Czech probably due to language differences! Several times, i would be in the right direction for the tram which was cheap at 24 prague krohns/30 mins hop on/hop off rides as opposed to 120 - 160 per trip in a cab., then ask to double check and they would tell me to cross to the other side and a few mins later while trying to enter the tram, i would see my tram go off in the opposite direction i was coming from. I still think the locals are very helpful and all speak very passable English. Thank you to Zuzanna and Monica and the Guy who checked me in, he was gone so fast, i did not learn his name! they went out of their way with descriptions and would get up from their desk to point it out most times. Hmm they had a Thai Spa indoors and they would come to your room but a little pricey though, take the door to the hotel on the Ujzed road and right within the Hotel building is anothe Thai foot massage for 3 times less!

Good amenities in a quieter location, only a 20 min walk to the more viberant parts of Prague. Breakfast was plentiful- scrambled or boiled eggs, meats, cheese, tomatoes, fresh fruit and loads of choice in breads & pastries. Cream doughnuts for breakfast a treat!!! Very friendly and heplful staff.
