OK, nice large room. But a little difficult to find. No restaurant in hotel, but at rather good, local restaurant nearby (but can be difficult to find).
I can recommend to use the guarded parking lot close to the hotel instead of the parking close to the hotel.

We stayed here in Feb 2009 and although it is quite a long way out of the town centre, the public transport is excellent (once you can work it out). The bus stop about a minute walk and that will take you to the tube, to get into prague.

Our room was basic and a little dated but we didn't pay a lot for it so it was as I expected - a place to rest our heads. The breakfast however was fab, a very good selection and fresh items were constantly being brought out.

There wasn't much in the area of the hotel ie restaurants etc so we asked the receptionist where was best to eat and she directed us to this motorbike bar down the road. When we first walked in we nearly walked straight back out as it looked really menacing but we were starving. I have to say the food was rustic, huge and very tasty and we had one of the best nights there, practicing our czech on the locals. we even went back later in the week! Apart from that you really had to plan to just go into prague and stay all day/night as the hotel was realistically too far away to travel back and forth to in one day.

I would recommend this hotel as a cheap option - you get what you pay for - but if I were to go back I would pay a little more to stay a little bit closer (you would save this on transport costs)

Hotel Jasmine is VERY basic. But- its clean and breakfast was far better than in some of better hotels we have stayed in. The beds were just covered in a 3 inch thick layer of foam- but were OK- but only one pillow was a bummer.
It appears to be in a run down area- but actually this after further touring about on the buses and trams seems typical suberbian Prague. I never felt uncomfortable nipping out at nights (but the wife wasn't so comfortable).
The only food nearby is the pizza place- and its not bad for a top up after a days walking and cheap too (about £3). The local bar serves good draft beer for about 65p a pint :)
It takes about 30 mins to get into town on buses and tube- and they are excellent and easy to use.
If you want a budget hotel- this fits the bill- but don't expect more than the basics.

On our arrival I was disheartened and dubious. The location leaves a great deal to be desired as the surrounding area appears run down. The rooms are located in blocks away from the reception area and the grass was overgrown to knee-height which added to the neglected look of the facility. The reception area was very dark with only a small sofa. We arrived at night, around 9pm and there was nowhere to purchase food either in the hotel or close by although a guest told us there was a chinese restaurant only a taxi ride away. Trudging up the pathway to our block I was convinced this was a big mistake! Dragging our cases up several flights of concrete steps (no lifts) we finally found our room. I was surprised to say the least. The room was huge and although basic it was spotlessly clean. The bedding was freshly laundered and storage was fine. Breakfast was very good with plenty to chose from and replenished regularly. The staff were a little reserved but one of the receptionists was extremely helpful when we asked about transport to the city. The bus stop is very close and tickets are purchased at the little shop by the bus stop. Beware though, the buses run on a loop and on the first day we found ourselves completely lost due to getting on at the wrong side of the street. The bus takes you straight to the metro which takes you into the city centre. The whole journey, bus and train, took about 25mins and cost around one pound. Transport is reliable, regular, cheap and clean - far superior to ours!! On arrival back at the hotel after our first day we found the grass had been cut and gave the whole place a facelift! Although not ideal if you want to be among the sights, this hotel is ideal if you are on a budget and don`t mind having to use transport. Not ideal for anyone with mobility problems as there are steps.

I really enjoyed my stay here and so did my 21 yr old son .The hotel is situated in the "real Praha" where tourists are rare ,people are friendly, and prices are low( a beer in the local bar was 50p!!).1 The hotel is 30 mins from the centre using public transport which is cheap , reliable and runs all hours. The staff are friendly efficient and very tolerant, the rooms clean but very basic. The hotel provides a buffet breakfast with a wide selection of cold food ,eat as much as you want!
we enjoyed my stay so much that we are returning next month

We will never come again. The evening-reception-personal was very unwilling. The day-starff reception was OK. Jasmin realy need to have safety-boxes in the rooms - there was only a little ONE in the reception! That was not satisfactory. The bed-clothes were only changed once a week. The towels were only changed 2 times a week, and the room was only cleaned 2 times a week - and only superficial.
The breakfast was lovely. This was our second visit (first time in August 2008), but the standard has gone down. We can not recommend this hotel to anybody.

First of all, IT IS TOO FAR AWAY FROM CENTER. Second, there is no service like in normal hotels. Besides, front one front desk agent girl was very nice and helpful, the rest of the front desk stuff is just simple not attached to the idea of hospitality.

This place used to be accommodations for soldiers, so have an idea what you're getting into. Now some of the buildings serve as accommodations for old people. Front desk located around the corner from actual hotel. There is no doorman or concierge. Only front desk agent. Be prepared to carry your luggage yourself, to the second or third floor (around the corner, no elevator).

You will have only breakfast (which was good). There is no restaurant or room service. So off hours, you need to spend time (cab, bus and metro) if you want food (HOTEL IS FAR AWAY FROM CENTER). There is no bank or mall close by, there is no internet.

For a week stay, room was hardly cleaned. Even rooms were clean when we arrived, I would think to change linen and towels should be a standard procedure for any place that called HOTEL.

This hotel came with the package, so I hardly had a choice. Misleading information about location added to it.
