We went there on a rainy evening, looking for a cafe serving Budvar. The cakes were very inviting and so was the beer. We had a spinach and cheese dish wrapped in filo pastry along sour cream and although not much could have gone wrong, the dish was very tasty.

Smoky, busy place. However, you can enjoy tasty desserts with coffee and lovely view to Vltava river and its´ bridges. I am a non smoker, and like rather quiet places, so I did not like it very much.

Nice, tradition cafe just oposite of National theatre. You can have some nice cafe and tasty coffee for reasonable price.

New owners just do not respect the style of the place. It is having a big tradition from thirties and architecture is still there a well as the view. However, new equipment, too many tables and the menu totally does not match the spirit of the place. Do not take lunch or dinner there. It is the place for a strudel or cake and coffee. I would still recommend it for a coffee break if you are willing to overlook the tasteless added furniture and the crowd which is not matching this kind of a coffee place. Tip: D not forget to visit the restroom underground and experience its genuine and still not destroyed style and decoration 8o)

I ordered dish from daily lunch menu. Both the soup and risotto were awful, the worst of its kind. I also ordered a special cappucino from their menu which was supposed to be spiced with ginger, and felt absolutely no spices in it. Total ripoff. The only good thing I found about a restaurant was the window view of Vltava river.
