Large green areas, beautiful view of the city and few tourists. It's easy to get there, just take the metro to Vysehrad and walk for a cpl of minutes, and still the tourists seem to miss it. Bring something to eat. The restaurants and cafes are mediocre.

Vysehrad was a beautiful place to visit, a fabulous view, and a nice Beer garden to enjoy a sunny day!

This place is a great spot when you had enough of the city centre crowds. It takes just minutes to get there by metro or tram and it's absolutely magic. We spent a couple of hours there walking around the walls, parks and visited the cemetery of famous people where rest for example Bedrich Smetana, Antonin Dvorak, Karel Capek, Alfons Mucha and Bozena Nemcova and the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul. We enjoyed the views of Vltava and the city. Lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon. Also there is no admission fee.

Essentially a park, cathedral and a graveyard, this area of Prague is great to get away from the packed streets of the old town. The paths following the edges of Vysehrad also offer some of the best views over the city and river. A nice spot to spend an hour or so.

A cathedral, a cemetery, a pleasant walkway around a pleasant park with large statues. All up on a high ridge overlooking the Vltava River and Prague's city landscape below. Certainly a good view.
