“Do not miss this.”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

We almost missed this. We went on our last day in Prague and what a shame if we had missed this. Beautiful vistas of Prague, quiet, off the beaten path.

“Peaceful, uncrowded with great views of the city”
Reviewed January 2, 2013

The “other” castle in Prague may not have the showy lights that Prague Castle does, but it’s a beautiful place to visit. Easy to get to from the trains, you’ll first encounter the beautiful round private chapel that was later turned into ammunition storage! The door hinges on it are impressive and the small tower is beautiful. The grounds have statues on the spacious lawns, and on the far side near the water are the ruins of the old castle. The church here is incredibly beautiful as well. The red tiled door and sculptures on the outside are gorgeous!
As you cross the front of the church heading toward the wall, the views of the city and the river are amazing.
Try to go on a Saturday morning and then walk down the hill and across the road to the edge of the water to visit the Farmer’s market. They have a variety of cheeses, meats, fruits and vegetables along with some handcrafted items. Get a hot mead, wine or coffee and it makes for a lovely walk!

“Interesting gem just off the normal tourist trail”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

We stayed in a hotel which was just a short walk to Vysehrad and given the hustle-and-bustle of the old town it was wonderfully tranquil. Certainly worth a visit.

“Pretty Views Of Prague..”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

This is a much less visited place but in my opinion a must see.
The views of the city from the top leave you speechless...and since this place has less tourists...you can hardly find a soul or two while you take a leisurely and picturesque walk!
It's easily reachable by a combination of public transport and a MUST SEE.

“A Calm place close to the center”
Reviewed December 26, 2012

There is a lot of people everywhere in the center, so to have a bit of calm with nice landscape around you, it is the place to be.
