We took a bus and tram to get here but it was well worth the effort. Impressive art collection primarily 20 &21th century in an interesting building with historic significance.

The Veletrzni Palace is the National Gallery in Prague and houses a superb collection of 19th, 20th and 21st century art.. The works on display include furniture, glass, vehicles as well as sculpture and artworks. There is a large collection of works by Rodin, Picasso, Munch, Klimt, plus many works by modern day Czech artists all housed in a very modern interior of an historic building.
The only disappointment, having spent the day in the galleries, was the cafe, good coffee but very limited food choices.

If you like modern art, it is one of possibilities in Prague, definitely with the largest permanent exibition.

Worth a trip outside of the tourist centre of Prague just for the Slav epic, one of the most outstanding things I have ever seen and the presentation was absolutely perfect. I could have easily spent hours viewing this exhibit alone, but a stroll around the other sprawling floors and galleries was also enjoyable.
