“Perfect!”
Reviewed January 20, 2014

We stayed at this hotel for our last night in Prague. The service could not have been more perfect! All the staff were lovely and happy to help with anything.

Our room was large with a king size bed, perfectly clean comfy and nothing broken. After some shabbier places this felt like heaven.

The location was great, right near Prague castle which was where we were heading the next day. Beautiful views everywhere.

We ordered room service at around 10.30pm and the meal (steak) was cooked to perfection, and the chef even traveled to our room to make sure everything was to our liking. We enjoyed it so much that after check out, we returned to the hotels restaurant to have a meal before our flight because it was that good.

Absolutely loved this place and would not stay anywhere else in Prague

This hotel is situated in a quite area of Prague, 5 min walking from the Castle and close to the Monastery area. The atmosphere is unique, very large rooms, good breakfast and warm accommodation, the staff is gently and smiley .
There are some restaurants options near by , the best are inside the Monastery where you can have traditional food and home made beer, delicious!

The only negative point is the long walk you have to do in the evening to come back to the hotel, you can take a taxi but the prices are always different between one and the other...

in my opinion the Hotel should provide a shuttle service between the hotel and the city center.

Room Tip: choose a room with the city view

We stayed here for 6 nights and were extremely impressed. The room decor was charming and very spacious. The views from the hotel are beautiful. We were offered wine as a welcome drink, 2 bottles of water in the room were always waiting for us after a tiring day of exploring the city, the dinner chef went out of his way to accommodate our requests, the staff was very helpful in booking opera tickets on our behalf. The personalized service and the details that have been thought of and taken care of, take the service and hospitality here to a new level. All in all, this stay exceeded our expectations and was outstanding. We would highly recommend this hotel and definitely go back.

This is a very charming, unique hotel that will exceed your expectation for good hotel services! Right next to a working monastery, a beautiful church, and a brewery! Incredible view from the breakfast room. The room is huge for a European hotel and everything is great! A small distance, but definitely walkable to major sights, and 2 minutes to a tram line. Even transferring to/from the airport through public transportation is not much a problem.

My husband and I spent four nights here over Christmas, and we were impressed with the wonderful service and attention to detail. We arranged for a transfer from the airport, and our driver was there waiting for us in the arrival area. He was very helpful in telling us where to go for dinner, and which local beers to try. Upon arrival we were given a tour of the hotel and a welcome drink while our luggage was taken up to our room. Our room was quite spacious and the bathroom was very clean and modern. Because it is situated at the top of a hill, the hotel has a wonderful panoramic view over the city. There is a tram that runs up the hill if you would prefer not to walk, but we enjoyed walking down and into the old town across Charles Bridge. The climb back up offers some wonderful views over the city, especially around sunset. It is an easy 10 minute walk to St. Vitus and Prague Castle. We were very impressed with the service at Hotel Questenberk. They were able to arrange a special gluten-free meal for me at the restaurant and even got some gluten--free crackers for me. All the little details were appreciated too, such as the daily cake and cookies at 4pm, the tea, coffee and hot wine that was always available, and the attentive service from all the staff. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Prague, and I would certainly stay here again.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a long weekend in October. The room was great, and even though I was concerned about it being so close to the breakfast room the noise level was ok, and we weren't woken by any church bells like other reviewers have been (maybe I'm a deep sleeper). All sights are walkable from the hotel which was great, Prague is quite a small and compact city so we hardly used the public transport. The walk back up to the hotel is quite a trek, I think I actually lost weight on holiday, can't complain about that! The views from the hotel are spectacular they really. The breakfast was ok, I tended to go for the cold stuff as the hot food had sometimes ran out or looked like it had been sitting a while, but I never went hungry there was plenty on offer. I would definitely stay at Questenberk hotel again and have already recommend it to a friend who stayed here in November.

Really had a nice 8 day stay at the Questenberk. The staff was very friendly and went out of their way for us. Details like the afternoon cake and tea, the deluxe continental style breakfasts, and the mulled wine greeting you after a long day of sightseeing were lovely touches. There is a sweeping view of Prague from the restaurant and deck. The area is busy during morning castle tour times, but is otherwise very calm. The Strahov Monastery and brewery is next door. Communication with the hotel staff during the planning process was quick and reassuring (we got the reservation through Orbitz, not directly from the hotel). We hope to return some day.

Room Tip: We had a room on the top floor; large room with small window. The rooms on lower floors probably hav...
