We stayed for 5 nights here, and it was a very special place. The rooms were clean and artfully done, peaceful and calm. Loved the location and being so close to the castle, even though it was a hike up the steps every day! We got a lot of exercise from the walking. The staff were all very helpful and helped us arrange travel to airport and also directions for our day trips. Overall my fiancé and I enjoyed this hidden gem very much! Definitely recommend!

We stayed in Room 6 which is so spacious and enjoys great views in three directions. The service was second to none - all the staff we dealt with were very obliging. On the first morning we were late for breakfast so it was put out again for us. That evening a bottle of Bohemian Secht (sparkling wine) and two glasses were left in our room because it was my birthday. When we were checking out I forgot I left my key in the room's safe but Zuzana had a hunch and found it! Whilst the best restaurants we went to (e.g. Cafe Savoy) were not the nearest (walk or take 22 tram), like others we enjoyed a crepe next door at a quiet bar open until 11pm.

Room Tip: We got the rate of EUR96 per night for Room 6 - DeLuxe Double - offered this rate for min. 30 days in advance or min. 3 nights

We were met at the airport by Milan (the hotels driver) and were quickly at the hotel. The hotel is in the castle district and only a short walk to the castle itself. During the day the street is very busy with a lot of tourists heading for the castle, Strahov and the walk up to Petrin.
By mid afternoon most of the throng has gone and the area is very peaceful and quiet. The hotel itself is a lovely old building with stunning views from the terrace of Petrin. The breakfast is a buffet and has ample choice and variety. The rooms and hotel are very clean and all of the staff i met welcoming and very polite.
I highly recommend this hotel and would stay again for sure.

Ps for a alternate route back to the hotel other than the Charles bridge way head to Letna park and walk towards the castle and you will be rewarded with great views of the city and you can even stop at the Havansky pavillion for a drink.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for only one night, but wished we had spent all of our nights in Prague at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and nice, and right outside our door was a lovely terrace with a view of the Petrin Tower and gardens. The hotel is very close to the castle and strolling around that part of town offers a great view of the city. However, it is a bit of walk or quick tram ride to the Old Town, Jewish Quarter and New Town.

Domus Henrici is nestled into a hillside near Prague Castle overlooking Petrin Hill. It is charming, well-designed, extremely comfortable, and the staff was lovely. We loved our (huge!) room and the (shared) terraces for relaxing in the evening. The bathroom was also huge and the amenities were great--nice shower, nice hairdryer, basic toiletries, and big white robes. The breakfast was very well done, with meats, cheeses, breads, spreads, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yogurt, juices, and cereals. We also appreciated the instant coffee and tea in the room. The wi-fi only worked on the terrace, not in our room.
We loved the location, which is steps from the castle. This led to some long walks uphill some nights, but the quiet after the tourists went home and the beautiful sunsets over the castle were worth it. We only took the tram once, but it is an option if you don't feel like climbing through Mala Strana after dinner.
The dining options near the castle are somewhat limited. We loved the Palacinkarna(?) right next to the hotel--good, simple food for good prices. They specialize in palacinky, which are basically crepes filled with either sweet or savory ingredients. The brewery at the Strahov Monastery was also wonderful.
There are lots of church bells ringing early in the morning, so keep the windows closed if you want to sleep late!
The only wrinkle we had with Domus Henrici was their problems with internet and wi-fi, which led to the driver not getting the message to pick us up at the station when we arrived. They were very apologetic and Milan, the driver, offered to drive us to the station for free when we left, which was very kind of him. Since the internet problems seem to be ongoing, I would reconfirm everything before you go. But all in all, the staff did everything they could to make it up to us and we really appreciated that. If we ever go back to Prague, and we would love to, we will absolutely stay here again.
