our family travels often. we visited many "historic" hotels, esp. in tuscany and all italy. we have own hotel- small design hotel with brewery from renaissance chateau in ostrava zábřeh... according to our experiences we could recomend domus henrici for its location and atmosphere. you will feel there like in your own flat or house just in the midle of the ages, only few steps from the prague castle, with wonderful view of the gardens. thank you martina for service and care

It is the closest hotel to the Prague Castle, just some 300 metres away from its gate. Every room is unique as it had to be adapted to fit into the space of the existing old house. You have to climb quite a few stairs to get to/from your room but you are awarded with a great view of Petrin tower and Strahov gardens from the terraces, very quiet place in a pedestrian zone within walking distance to the Loreta, Prague Castle, Strahov monastery, Mala Strana etc. The only drawback I could figure out is no parking space in a close vicinity (because of the Castle pedestrian zone) but if needed, there is a free parking in Parlerova street few hundred metres away or a few paid parking lots around. Have a look at the Google Street view for a reference. The staff is very helpful with anything you would require, starting from borrowing an iron to showing you directions to the touristic attractions. I would absolutely recommend this hotel.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean with good decor and tea /coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent offering a good variety. Its location at Loretanska by the castle is a pleasant constrast to the hub of the main town. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby. Would definately book again if were to return to Prague.

We just returned from a weekend in Prague and very much enjoyed our stay at the Domus Henrici. Our room was elegant and lovely-- very spacious with a gorgeous view, a large bathroom, and a comfortable bed. Only tiny downside was being awoken at around 9 AM on Saturday by tolling church bells (and this was of course out of the control of the hotel). But that was more than made up for by the beautiful and comfortable room.

The hotel is easily accessible by the 22 tram, which runs very often (every 5 minutes or so), or you can take on the hike uphill from the river towards the castle. We did both, and the walk certainly provides you with a nice sense of the Little Town and the neighborhood (plus it's a good workout). Being outside the hubbub of the Old Town was for us a huge plus. We were in a quiet neighborhood with lots of trees and wonderful views, yet we were still within a few minutes of the center (Prague is very walkable, and the walk from the hotel was very pretty).

The only other slight drawback was the breakfast. It was perfectly adequate (bread, cheese, yogurt), just not quite what we were hoping for from such an elegant (and slightly more expensive) hotel. Maybe they do it up a little more in the summer months when they are busier and have more guests. Regardless, though, it was perfectly satisfactory, and did little to detract from an otherwise wonderful experience!!

I have been to Prague on multiple locations, there is not a better place to stay. On the correct side of the city to get to the airport; staff great, great breakfast, location across from the Prague Castle, very charming. Close to public transport. After multiple visits in the city, I now do not stay anywhere else but at Henrici.

We stayed in one of the deluxe doubles that shares a lovely porch with a view of the vineyards. The room was immaculate, the bed fine, the bathroom huge, and zero street noise. The staff are highly educated and lovely. The breakfast generous. It's two blocks from the palace, and about a mile from the town center, which is ideal. Easy tram ride to town center two blocks away.
Quite a special spot. Wifi works only in lobby and dining room, and there is a computer terminal as well.

We stayed here for a weekend trip for the Xmas markets and truly loved it. The rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable and make you feel you are returning home to a stylish apartment each night. Sure, it is a little walk out of the main part of the city, but it is well worth it and you keep yourself well away from the crowds and stag/hen nights.

The breakfast was delicious with a great variety and something slightly different each day with lots of options to keep everyone happy. Some quaint little cafes and restaurants near-by and a lovely area to just walk around.

I would strongly recommend you opt for the airport transfer service with Milan - a lovely man who could not be more helpful and nothing like the insipid Prague taxi drivers I encountered previously.

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and have a great sense of humour (we loved Martine's opinions on life, the weather and Xmas decorations).

A wonderful stay at very reasonable prices with some great personal touches that make you feel at home.

Thank you! We really hope to come again!
