We stayed in late Sept. 2011 for 4 nights in the J.B. Santini Suite. If you are looking for a centrally located, boutique hotel with a historic feel then this is the hotel you want. Unlike other hotels that we have stayed at or visited in the Mala Strana area The Green Grape doesn't feel like a tourist destination, rather it felt like you were stepping back in time to your own little space in historic Prague. Perfect for a couple, this hotel was spotlessly clean and had excellent furnishings and bed linens.

The young, lovely staff were eager to please and went out of their way to make sure that we had an enjoyable stay (smooth exchange of Euros to Crowns, lots of help mapping out local attractions, ensuring that our breakfasts were fresh and plentiful, and even a complimentary bottle of wine on our departure!).

Having stayed at boutique hotels all over the globe I can honestly say that this one gets it right, great location, spotless premises, excellent service and reasonable prices. I'm honestly surprised that this hotel is not ranked higher (#170 at time of writing) but apparently it has not been open that long. I think that with time more people will discover the Green Grape and I hope that they maintain the high level of quality that was exhibited during our first stay, we will be back!

We feel very lucky to have found this hotel. I found it listed in Karen Brown's guide. It is located in the Castle District, a block from the US Embassy. It was a very short walk to Charles Bridge and great eating establishments. We chose the Anton Mucha room because n the web site it seemed to have lots of natural light. It was a great room but all the rooms are very, very nice. There is not a bad room in this wonderful small hotel. Karin the hotel manager, who is very proud of the establishment, gave us a tour. She has good reason to be. All the rooms in this historic establishment are immaculate and have beautiful antique furniture except for the beds which are new and extremely comfortable. The bathrooms are new, modern, and SPOTLESS. The breakfasts are great. The staff was very friendly, competent and we felt that they wanted to do more for us. We received great recommendations on places to visit as well as to where to eat. This is a perfect place in the quiet part of Prague and it was only steps away from public transportation and the busy bridge.

Room Tip: We were treated to a tour of all the rooms. You can't go wrong.

This hotel was recommended to me during one of my business trips to Prague. I took my husband there for a weekend getaway. We stayed at the Dvorak Suite on the ground floor, very nice since we could just step out and enjoy our breakfast in the romantic courtyard. Service was excellent - they even switched our pillows after we mentioned that they were too high. We loved the location - quiet and private but just down the steps from the Nerudova Street. We will be back again!

Centrally situated, period rooms and suites in historic building. Beautiful, good breakfast, very friendly staff, speaking languages. I forgot my medicines there, and they sent them back to me free of charge.
