Certificate of Excellence

We stayed at this hotel following a recommendation and found this to be an excellent hotel which is well located for visiting the city.

The staff were efficient and although the public areas of the hotel were relatively small they were comfortable, relaxing and elegant. The bar area was very pleasant for enjoying reasonably priced drinks or cocktails before dinner.

We upgraded our room and were initially disappointed that we were allocated a room at the rear of the hotel however the position of our room resulted in it being quiet at night and we slept very well. The room was large and luxurious and contained all the amenities expected of a hotel of this standard with a well appointed bathroom and beautiful cosmetics.

The buffet breakfast was excellent and served in the beautiful Cafe Imperial. A very good selection of hot and cold food was available.

We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel as an excellent base in Prague.

This is a wonderful place, the decoration is breath-taking, our room was gorgeous. They were friendly and helpful and the café and breakfasts in particular wonderful. The trams do run outside so ideally get a room high up or away from the street, we were fine on the fifth floor. The location is also great and if we ever go back to Prague I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else

Room is not very spacious, but furniture and decoration are grand. Hotel receptionist is helpful. You can book concert or opera at there. You can change Czech money at hotel with relatively less currency rate, but you can reduce trouble and save time.

We booked 3 nights (via BA Holidays) at the Art Deco Imperial to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday and had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, particular thanks to David on the concierge desk for accommodating our many requests. The bar is a lovely little place to hang out and the spa is perfect. We had incredible massages. The restaurant was a delight - the food good and staff very attentive. Bedrooms had all mod cons, the bathroom underfloor heating (joy!) and the shower was fabulous. The water in Prague must be special because we all had amazing skin at the end of our weekend. It was very important to me to find somewhere that would make this weekend special, and the Art Deco Imperial delivered on every account.

The location is great, walking distance from the Old Town yet away from the bustle. Close to a huge mall if shopping is your thing, a mini market around the corner for snacks, and the trams stop virtually outside the front door.

Not sure what the standard rates are for rooms, but we certainly felt that it was good value for our budget, and booking a package through BA Holidays was a great deal.

Negatives? The breakfast staff in the restaurant could have been more cheerful. The bedroom windows should have been unlocked so that we could let air into the rooms. The full-length mirror in the bedroom was tucked into an awkward corner behind a chair and therefore you couldn't use it. That's it!

Thank you to all at the hotel for making our stay in Prague such a comfortable one.

Room Tip: Choose a room in one of the highest floors (4 upwards) so that you can't hear the trams below. T...

The Art Deco Hotel was comfortable, staff willing to provide excellent customer service. You must eat at the attached restaurant; really good food! Prague was delightful experience; good hotel, great tour guide, beautiful City; friendly locals. I fell in love with this City....they actually like and appreciate Americans.

We stayed for three nights at the Art Deco Hotel during our first trip to Prague and cannot recommend the hotel (and in particular its staff) highly enough. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly receptionist and shown to our room with no fuss. On seeing the room we decided to see how much it would cost to upgrade, as it was a little smaller than we'd hoped. The receptionist (Martin) was extremely helpful in accommodating this request, going out of his way to show us a number of rooms in the hotel. In the end we chose to upgrade to a huge suite with beautiful large widows on three sides for a very reasonable price. We could hear the trams from the room, but it was not loud enough to disturb our sleep.

Breakfast was fantastic - it's easy to see why non-residents would pay to breakfast here - the grand setting and the excellent selection of cooked food, fresh pastries and fruit was second to none. We have stayed in many hotels but this breakfast buffet beats them all.

The hotel is ideally located - only 5-10 mins away from all the action in the main square and the old town, meaning we could easily pop back to rest our legs in the afternoon before going back out again in the evening.

The staff were exceptional - extremely helpful, friendly and efficient - they really made our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms on the top floor are quieter but have smaller windows - we loved our room on the 4th floor.
