Stayed 3 days during a conference held at the hotel here and the service perfectly complemented the impeccable design and out of this world food. Czechs most famous chef is at work here and oh my you can tell. Definitely recommendable and hope to be staying here again in the future

The hotel was very good. Very clean, and the rooms were spacious, but this is what you would expect from this level of Hotel. Im not sure that if this hotel were in another city it would be given this many stars, but as I say, it was a good hotel and I slept very well here. The tv speaker in the bathroom was an odd, but nice touch ;) - but the heated floors were GREAT!

The staff were always very welcoming and pleasant, and room was cleaned regularly.

As an aside - not about this hotel - One thing to watch out for in Prague - if you visit the James Dean restaurant/bar/nightclub - watch out for your jacket - make sure you place it in the cloakroom - both my Jacket and Sweater were stolen.

Great location of the hotel in Prague for sightseeing, and great people, overall a great experience.

My girlfriend and I stayed here for four nights in mid-March. We picked this hotel because we liked the sound of the art deco design and the fact that it was a five-star.

We stayed in a standard double room. The decor was more modern and subdued but still retained some of the art deco flavour of the rest of the hotel. The bed was cosy and comfy enough. There was a TV, well-stocked minibar, complimentary tea and coffee sachets, and a safe. Downstairs there is a free sauna and steam bath (plus gym and massage if you want to pay extra).

The bathroom was really nice with marble floors, heated mirror (so it didn't mist up after you used the shower), good shower and bath, and bidet (!).

The hotel dining room in which breakfast is served also doubles as a fancy restaurant in the evenings. It is a stunning art deco room - high ceilings, Egyptian-style columns, elaborate mosaics and ornate tiles. You could just imagine Poirot sitting there in the 1920s solving a murder mystery!

The restaurant is well-worth eating in of an evening, especially if you're unsure where to go. The food is top-quality and it has a high-end ambiance. It's not that cheap but certainly inexpensive compared to a western European equivalent.

Breakfast: It's very nice to eat breakfast in the art deco setting of the dining room whilst watching the old-style trams go past on Na Porici street. The buffet spread is generous and caters to all tastes - omelete, sausages, bacon, pancakes (US-style), maple syrup, patisseries (mini-croissants, cakes, pain au chocolats etc), yoghurt, muesli, porridge, cold meats, cheeses, numerous types of bread and roll, juices, very good coffee. It gets busy but there's plenty of room to sit down, but for the best service get there earlier or later.

Service: The service was fine. The concierge was obliging but we think his restaurant recommendations weren't great (but at least he tried!). In general in Prague service tends to be a bit on the surly side.

Location: Na Porici, the street on which it lies, is not particularly interesting however the hotel is very conveniently located to get to the Old Town (Stare Mesto) and also to Nove Mesto. It's about 15 minutes walk to the Old Town Square and about the same time to walk to Wenceslas Square. It's a few minutes walk from Namesti Republiky metro stop on line B. So if you're coming from the airport, either wait outside arrivals to get the 100 bus to Zlicin (takes about 25 minutes) where you can get metro line B directly to Namesti Republiky (takes about 25 minutes). Or you take the 119 bus to Dejvicka where you take metro line A to Mustek and change one stop to get to Namesti Republiky. Either way the bus/metro only costs 32Kc (just over £1).

Overall, although this is a five-star hotel it's probably more akin to a good four-star. That's not to do it down in any way as it's a pleasant and stylish place to stay in Prague but perhaps lacking some of the bells and whistles that you'd expect from a five-star.

My wife and I got back from Prague last week. We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary. I emailed the hotel and let them know about the occasion. When we entered the room we found champagne and fresh strawberries on the desk which was very nice. The room was amazing; elegant, clean, and spacious. The hotel decor was unique. The hotel staff were very accomodating and always smiling asking if everything was ok. The location was perfect. 100 m from the palladium shopping center. 5 minute walk from Old Town. Metro is right across the street. Overall, the stay was very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel to anyoone who is looking for a luxury boutique hotel situated in an excellent location.

Room Tip: We were on the 5th floor and the view was nice.

The Art Deco hotel is on the border of old town easily walking distance to all the major attractions. For the value I would skip the Hilton and Marriott which are just around the corner and stay here instead. The service is friendly and the hotel has a full-time concierge and small gym with modern equipment (no one was there both times I used it). It also has a small sauna and steam room. The restaurant that is part of the hotel is very good with an excellent value "businessman's lunch" special. The rooms are moderately sized and although we had no view the non-street side is quiet. With man choices to stay in Prague I can recommend this one as being very nice for the price. PS. I wish one day European hotels would realize that charging for Internet access is ridiculous. It makes any five star hotel - including this one - seem cheap. Raise the price 5 euro and provide it "for free."

Recently stayed in this hotel for 3 nights with my dad for a city break. On arrival the reception team were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning and is in a fantastic location, just a few minutes walk from powder tower, the palladuim shopping centre and prague old town. The room was a tad small but beautifully furnished and for the purpose of visiting Prague, we spent only a small amount of time in the room. The leisure facilities again are a tad small but well suited to the destination. I used the gym and the steam room every morning and it was quiet and relaxing. The breakfast is well worth including as it is served from 6.30am for those wishing to get up early and explore, it is varied and suits all tastes. I really must mention also that I emailed the hotel and explained although we were travelling as Mr and Mrs, we were in fact father and daughter and the hotel gave us a twin room that we asked for which I was impressed with as I have asked for requests from hotels before and not recieved a reply. I am very impressed with the hotel and the location and will be staying again in the future.

The destination itself was absolutely stunning with lots of fun touristy things to do and see. 3-4 days is plenty to see the majority of the sights, a visit to the caste and St.Vitrus cathedral is a must! The astronomical clock is also a must. I loved the entire holiday and would recommend it to anyone looking for some culture and a sight-seeing city break.
