“Best value in Prague”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2013

Quietly located in the heart of the old town. Not even a minute walk from the main square but the surrounding houses break up all noise.
If wished, a life music place in the basement will let you forget the long sightseeing day. But nothing can be heard when you hit the pillow. Best value for the price paid.

Stayed here four nights in late September.
I arrived late about 12:30 pm from the airport and was greated warmly by the front desk, the bed was turned down and the room was nicer than expected for the price of 110 US per night.
Great location and the rooms were large and clean, but if you get a room in the front of the hotel don't expect to sleep much if you don't wear ear plugs. Drunks roam the street till the wee hours of the early morning. This is not the hotels fault but after a couple weeks of traveling I needed some rest. That is the only complaint. The hotel is well with in walking distance to all of Old town Praha and tram and bus lines. My room #22, had a beautiful walk out balcony and was more than adequate, the bed was comfortable and the staff attentive. Breakfast was functional. I can't say that I would stay here again unless I was sure I would get a room towards the rear of the building.

Hello Everybody Just a little review of U Stare Pani Hotel in Prague. What a nice quaint place. The location is second to none, about 4 minutes from the old town square and the astronomical clock and about 15 minutes from Wenceslas square. The front desk staff where more than helpful offering to arrange trips for us. The pictures on Trip Advisor don,t really do the hotel justice. I was expecting somewhere not so nice. It could do with tea and coffee making facilities in the room but other than that it was more than adequate. I havent seen a fridge/mini bar so well stocked ever!!! Unfortunately there has been a prohibition order throughout the Czech Republic banning all liqour over 20%. It started the weekend we were there on the 13th of september for 3 nights. The whole of Prague was devoid of strong liquor. Which was fine by us. As beer and wine is enough for us! Unfortunately the famous Absinthe bars were shut down so we couldnt sample the Infamous Green Fairy!!! Apparently anyone caught selling strong liquor is subject to a £100,000 fine. There is a little czech bar next to the hotel and the staff in there where really very friendly also beaware this was the cheapest pint of local beer we had all weekend around about a £1 a pint so dont be expecting Prague to be cheap. It will quadruple 4 mins down the alley into the old town square. Overall i wouldnt stay anywhere else as the location is tremendous.

Room Tip: Pick a room at the back as the alley it is situated on can be quite nosiy on an evening

Great staff - super helpful and warm. Really helped out when my girlfriend's luggage didn't show up for five days. They called the airline and airport many, many times trying to find out about it. When it finally showed up they seemed personally so happy for us.
Front desk help was unfailingly warm and helpful. Excellent advice. Great directions.
Excellent location. Close to the old town. Lots of restaurants, pubs, and shops nearby.
Breakfast was pretty standard fare - the hot dish varied daily. All good.
I highly recommend this hotel. It's an excellent value, a great location, and a delightful experience

Stayed for 8 nights there me and my gf.

Pros:
* LOCATION! The best location in the city for an hotel! 5 min walk to - Mustik, Old Square, Charles bridge. This is a huge pro!
* We were in a room at the back of the building, so didn't hear any noise (only one night when there was some celebration or whatever).
* Staff is helpful and nice.
* Jazz club in the basement, free entrance for residents of the hotel (were there only once, very nice).
* 1 min walk to U Vejvodu, 2 mins to U Medvedku (two amazing places to eat)

Cons:
* Food is no more than ok.
* No A/C (didn't bother us as the weather was amazing :) )
* Water pressure in the shower is very low (as in all hotels I've been :/ )
* Wifi in the room was very hard to catch (2nd floor)

I can highly recommend this hotel.
Location is perfect (in the very center of old Prague), rooms are comfortable, stuff is helpful.
You can enjoy Jazz nights in the basement of the hotel, it's short walk to many attractions, sites and restaurants.
Good value.

We've spent 4 nights during last Christmas at U Stare Pani and enjoyed it every moment. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Location is absolute great - 2 minutes to old two square, 5 minutes to Wenceslas square. We enjoyed twice the live jazz performance in the hotel basement. Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Very recommended.
