new modern reconstruction. Excellent Cuisine, base on world and best domestic food. Interesting entertainment program for weekends visitors. You should not miss the hotel spa and massages. For long time is my Prague first choice for short or long stay.

Room Tip: My tip is first floor rooms 2 - 6. room 7 is best for couple luxury room.

The hotel was a nice surprise.
Nice and clean room. Beautiful and clean bathroom.
The furniture are all made in solid wood. Not the cheap kind of furniture that you usually find in other hotels. My room had the water boiler with complementary coffee / tea / etc... which I found very usefull.
The hotel restaurant served a good and tasty dinner.
But what I loved most was the bed mattress. Top quality! I slept wonderfully.
Finally, for those in Prague for pleasure, the bus stop is in front of the hotel.
I truly recommend it.
Francesco

Overall this hotel appears overrated on trip advisor. The rooms were clean and there was a really nice bathroom. However it was not a good choice for a romantic getaway. For example - even though it was advertised as a double room, we were met with 2 single beds pushed together and 2 single duvets. We were told, when we enquired, there were no double mattresses or double duvets in the hotel.

On the whole the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, one member of staff was incredibly vague when explaining how to get into the centre of Prague. As a result of this false confidence, we ended up in the middle of nowhere and had to spend lots of money on a taxi to get to the centre. When you are told properly and are shown on a map etc. it is quite simple and takes approximately 20 mins.

FYI - directions to centre are thus: you can buy a ticket which includes travelling on bus, tram and the metro (tube) from reception. When you get to town, tickets can be purchased in the metro stations and general kiosks.
You can pay for a 32k ticket which will last for 90 minutes of your journey, so if you want to go into town in the morning and then get back at night, you'll need 2 of these tickets each. Alternatively, you can buy a day ticket worth 110k which might be better if you know you'll be using public transport a lot. We found we enjoyed walking, exploring and getting lost too much!
So, you'll need the 177 bus from the hotel-side stop to Skalke (which is on the green A line). The metro station is directly in front of the bus stop. Then get the tube in the direction of Dejvická. You can alight at most of the popular places on this line.
To get back, get back to Skalke on the green A line and reverse your route.
Lastly, the website states there is a cocktail bar at the hotel. The hotel was completely dead when we returned in the evenings. The bar is tiny and was closed, so don't plan to spend the evening at the hotel as you'll only have the mini bar to enjoy.

Dear James,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback and let me comment on what you´ve written about our hotel.

The hotel is located in a historic building surrounded by greenery and is ideal for a relaxing holiday. It is situated in a quiet neighbourhood of Prague, not far from the historical centre. It takes approximately 30 minutes to get to the city centre by tram number 22. If you arrive by car there´s a parking space just in front of the hotel and you should get to the city centre by car within 30 minutes as well. There´s a bus stop in front of the hotel as you´ve written or it´s possible to call a taxi for our quests.

Our receptionists are at all events friendly and professional. They are 100 % ready to help you with whatever you wish to arrange, they provide answers to all kinds of questions including the directions to the city centre. Our clients get a map of Prague at the reception where you find the route to the city centre and a leaflet where the departures and arrivals times of bus number 177 are highlighted. This is the bus you´ve mentioned which goes to Skalka metro.
Regarding your comment on giving directions I talked to each member of our front desk to make sure they pass on the correct information. I did not find any problems. I am convinced it must have been a misunderstanding or miscommunication regarding the directions. I am very sorry that you have got lost.

Our four-star-hotel is a certified institution which is reflected in a brand new equipment in the rooms. Our philosophy of providing services related to healthy sleeping is based on caring for the health and comfort of hotel guests. Our rooms offer comfort of sleeping and quality rest. There is a double bed in each room with two medical mattresses. The mattresses have the highest EU medical certification and offer comfortable sleeping as required in a four- star-hotel.

There´s a restaurant in the hotel. We offer both Czech and foreign cuisines, including the latest trends. The restaurant is open until 10 p.m,the bar closes at 11.p.m.
We strive to provide prime services and we specialise in true home cooking which is the reason why we get positive feedback only.

This is not an easy review to read, and I’m a bit disappointed to say the least.

Your feedback is utterly important to us and I want to thank you for writing this review. We hope you will give us another chance to give you an authentic experience that rocks in the future.

Your sincerely

This is a very nice hotel. All the staff is very friendly; they speak good English and they are always doing their best to help you. Rooms are spacy and clean. Bathrooms are very clean too. Food and drinks are very nice. Hotel was situated near my training location. Apart from that a short walk away from the wood. All in all a hotel that I recommend warmly!
