Nice hotel in Novo Mesto. 15-20 min walk to the Old Part. Less money than similar hotels in the Old Town, so definetely wort the savings. Perfectly clean and good buffet breakfast. If you want to skip the walk the subway is 5 minutes away and 2-3 stops away from Old Town and Castle. Staff is very helpful. Highly recommend.

The hotel is very well kept, very friendly staff and the breakfast is nice - fresh fruit salad and eggs to the order. The walk to the old town is a bit long (20 min). Parking is easily found. The pricing seems to match the quality with 110 eur per night room for 2.

We couldn't have been happier in every respect. We stayed in a suite which had a small passageway separating a living area from the bedroom which could be closed off by a door. The location was ideal for us (we are in our late forties). Close enough to the Old Town (about 20 mins walk) where most of our sightseeing was done with plenty of restaurants/pubs/supermarkets in the surrounding streets, yet in a quiet street with little traffic noise. The street facing windows of the room had double window panes (where both could be opened) separated by about 25cm which also considerably reduced the outside noise level (This, I observed, was quite common in Prague). You could also catch a tram (no. 22) if necessary, to the Prague Castle area (which cost 24 Kc per one way ticket).
Breakfast was delicious. A buffet of daily fresh breads of many types, hams, salami, boiled eggs, cereals, yoghurt, juice, tea, coffee, pastries etc.
Staff were always very warm and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.
Hotel in general was lovingly maintained and very clean.
Thank you Hotel 16 for a lovely experience.

Room Tip: Can't comment on other rooms but we had suite facing street, Quiet with plenty of light.

Delightful touches, great breakfast buffet. welcoming and attentive staff. Many comforts such as heated towel bar, fluffy comforters, room access to a pretty private walled garden outside the room. A winner!

Imagine you have to go to Prague on business, and all hotels of the major international chains are booked. Give up? No! Try and book Hotel 16. Everything is small or even tiny, but everything you need is there, and if it is not there, no problem, the very friendly staff will get it for you. The hotel has only a few rooms. The breakfast room is small, the bar is small, the "business center" is one tiny table in the breakfast room, but everything is in place with an amazing sense for every little detail that can make your stay more comfortable. Breakfast is free of charge, internet connection is free of charge. If you want a cup of coffee before you run along the nearby Moldava river, no problem, you get it on the spot. If you need your room cleaned at a specific time, no problem, it will be done. I will definitely come back.

Room Tip: Try to get a room off the street

We took great pleasure in our stay at Hotel 16. Tastefully appointed. Warm, helpful staff. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast with a wide variety of foods to choose from. We liked being on the 'edge' of the city center -- a quick walk to a tram station and to Wenceslas Square, yet away from all the hustle of being right in the tourist district.
